My dd and I went for a nice walk today. I wanted to get some pics of the snow as we've gotten more since that last time it snowed! Ugh! Here is 1dd10:
This is the front of our house as seen from the road:
This is across the parking lot at the dining center. The playground has a treehouse - the snow reaches its deck! The baby swing is completely buried. You almost can't see out the windows anymore.
You can see that the snow bank is almost as tall as she is here.
This is the roof of the dining center. Crazy deep isn't it?
This is the path to the root cellar.
The front of the root cellar:
Around the corner is the "school room" that used to be used by a homeschooling family. Now it is for storage. The second picture is from the inside of the deck trying to look out.
Across from there was a big, pretty tree that dd stood under.
Then we walked over to the lecture hall. This is catecornered from our house. The sides of snow are so high now!
I think this is one of the deepest places. It is the bottom of the trail to the Martin's house.
This is the front of the Martin's house.
And finally a view from beside their house.
Would you like to hear the bad news now? They are predicting 2-3 more feet by Tuesday night! AAAAHHHH!
Okay you have won the MOST SNOW award my SSiC. lol
Wow , I can't believe how mush you have !!!
I remember being at all those places so I can really understand what you are trying to show. I can't imagine that much more snow !!! Do you all get that much usually ??? I can't remember.
Blessings and EXTRA BIG ((hugs)) my SSiC

Wow! That is amazing! we have a LOT of snow here, but you definitely beat us!
Those are beautiful pictures of "C" too! The cold actually looks like it agrees with her. She has such a pretty/healthy glow. (and Julie loves the photos, too!) ;-)
You DD looks just like you. As I kept looking these pictures as they loaded I was reminded of the verse that says that when we are forgiven our sins are whiter than snow. (Katia's own paraphrase ;)
I don't think I would mind all of the snow at all as long as I have sunshine. I feel like a wilted sunflower this evening ;) My body doesn't do well when we have several days without sunshine. This is one thing I loved about Colorado all of the sunshine we got there even in the winter.
(((hugs)))

Oh my goodness that is a LOT of snow!!! What happens if it starts to go above your windows? Will you have to shovel it away from them so that the light can come in? That is amazing :) The most I remember having here was 4 feet a couple of year back but my dad always told us that when he first moved to this property nearly 40 years ago there were winters when the snow was right to the bottom of the roof! It looks like so much fun but a little scary at the same time *grin*
Thinking of you,

Hi Carol,
First I want to say that your daughter is looking sooo grown up - a very beautiful young lady.
And then I have to say I had to show the whole family your snow pictures - even dh (he loves it). Wow Carol!!! I guess the ground hog saw his shadow at your house too! :) What altitude are you at any ways? That's a lot of snow! Thanks for sharing those pictures. Are the roads even open yet up there? How is your baby feeling?
Oh my goodness! This reminds me of my Canada days. I am so jealous! How lovely (and difficult). One big reason we don't want to live in Texas is because they don't get a good snow...
I have three girls also (8,6,3). They loved seeing the picture of your daughter standing next to the snow above her head. We definitely do not get snow like that in KY.
You have a really cool house! And I don't mean cool as in cold...
That root cellar of yours is really neat. You should do a show and tell on that some day. It looks totally awesome. And is that house that used to be used for homeschool but is now used for storage also on your property?

One thing have I desired of the Lord that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To behold the beauty, the beauty of the Lord. To inquire in His temple, the temple of the Lord.
This is my everyday thoughts about being a mother to three little ladies (10, 9 and 4) and a toddler son. We serve God full-time, and I am a physician assistant. I have the most awesome husband in the world. I am trying to seek God with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my strength.
