Outside My Window...overcast, and lots of dirty-looking snow.  I picked up a 9-point antler the dog had picked up in the woods, carried around and chewed up, and I through it in the trash trailer today. 

I am thinking...of all the things I should get done this week, such as my Samaritan Aviation application, and my medicaid renewal.

I am thankful for...my children's help with the housework today!

From the kitchen...I am making spaghetti and salad, and dh is making French bread from scratch for dinner tonight.  It is staff night tonight - we invite the staff over for supper and fun every Tuesday now.

I am wearing...blue jeans, my faded light blue Pooh t-shirt and footy socks.

I am creating...a clean house and much needed order!

I am going...to Mexico in a little over two weeks!

I am reading...Naya Nuki, by Thomasma.  It is my dd10's reader right now.

I am hoping...That the weather man is wrong and we don't get any more snow this year!

I am hearing...my two middle dd's playing with Little People castle and toys.
Around the house...packaging projects are halfway done, and rubbermaid bins lie waiting to be moved to the new house when we get the go-ahead.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:  Dental cleaning tomorrow, welcoming home the Horns on Wednesday or Thursday from Asia, working in Delta on Thursday, and working at the Urgent Care Clinic on Saturday.

One of my favorite things...The smell of children after their bath!

Hi Carol,
My, I have been away for a while - sorry about that. I have been thinking of you though. I just spent some time going back through over a month's worth of posts, skimming & looking at pictures. It looks like you are having a winter that just won't give up - sorta like us, but thankfully we have less snow. Your little guy sure is growing up, teehe, and my Anna has the same horsey as he does. Soooooo, you are moving? Tell me more or point me to the right post to read all about it.

About the chicken, I like to put the maranade in a plastic bag withnthe chicken parts and let it soak all day in the fridge - turning it occassionally (but if you don't have that long, as long as you can soak it is just fine). Then for grilling, I usually bake the chicken for 30 - 40 minutes (while in the maranade) first and then finish the chicken off on the grill - keep the flame down on low if you have a gas grill since any dripping will cause more flame & burn the chicken. I like to do stir fry too or even just add the marinade to a bag of stir-fry veggies and fry in wok or big frying pan. Yum. The chicken is always a big hit with company since it's sweet - kids love it. The key is letting the chicken pieces sit/soak in the maranade rather than trying to brush it on as the oil & soy sauce will just slide off the top. Try it, you'll like it. :)

Don't worry about leaving too many comments. It's nice to get comments. I always like to 'meet' new people(on their blogs) and see how they homeschool etc. It reminds me that I'm not alone.
