Well, we're in the process of moving into the bigger house now. I'm at the clinic working today, but I've made several trips with bins full of stuff in the past 2 days. Dh is hoping to move the beds and the rest of the stuff that would be necessary to live with today, so we can be there tomorrow over the sabbath. Unfortunately we woke up to 3-4 inches of snow again. It will be a muddy process. Also ds18months is having a hard time with the move and he is crying a lot and clingy. Poor little guy. It makes it hard to try to pack and move when he isn't cooperating much! He's lived in our current residence for his entire short life, so I think it is hard for him to understand.
Then on Sunday morning dh will be getting on a train from Grand Junction to ride to Lincoln, Nebraska to get a van that my brother is selling to us. He will drive it home on Monday, and get home Monday night or Tuesday sometime (if he's too tired to drive all the way through).
Next Friday I will be flying off to Vicente Guerrero, Baja, Mexico for two days of medical work at an orphanage. I'm looking forward to the change of scenery and the chance to get to minister in the foreign mission field.
We didn't do any school on Friday, so it looks like our homeschooling will push into June this year. Oh well, at least it will be in our new home!
Your poor little guy! Maybe he'll be better once he sees all of his toys and things in your new place.
You're still getting snow?! Eeek! Exactly where do you live?
Carol, I haven't checked in in quite a while. I didn't know you were moving. Congratulations! I know what you mean about school getting pushed back. This is about the time of year that I get spring fever (before it gets hot) and want to get in the garden. I had asked the kids about rearranging our school year so that we could take advantage of this time, but they wouldn't have it. No interest in being in school when everyone else is out and about(of course, they've never complained when they're out and everyone else has to go!) We've had enough disruptions to our school time such that we, too, will continue at least one subject into the summer.
Will the whole family travel to Mexico with you? I know you're going to be busy, so write when you can.
Wow, it's still snowing at your house? I understand the stress of moving with young kids. My son was eighteen months when we moved to our present home and it was hard on him. I will be praying for you all. Hope you have a wonderful time in Mexico and a great Mother's Day today.
About gardening--I usually spend about two to three hours a week in it. It is relaxing to me though, so I don't mind.
Pam
I wish I could go there and help you! Soon you will be settled. I hope we will be moving soon... to CO. First, you'll have to get that snow to stop! So funny... it's MAY! Have a great trip to Baja. May the Lord bless your hands in His service.
Wow. So many things going on. How exciting and probably tiring at the same time. I hope the rest of your move goes smoothly.
Congratulations to your daughter on her baptism. How precious.
Letitia
One thing have I desired of the Lord that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To behold the beauty, the beauty of the Lord. To inquire in His temple, the temple of the Lord.
This is my everyday thoughts about being a mother to three little ladies (10, 8 and 3) and a toddler son. We serve God full-time, and I am a physician assistant. I have the most awesome husband in the world. I am trying to seek God with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my strength.
