Outside My Window...Today it is beautiful and sunny and cool. The new grass is starting to grow, and there are many hummingbirds fighting each other off of the hummingbird feeder. I also got a new swing at a garage sale for the deck.
I am thinking...of how anxious I've become thinking how we will make it work homeschooling 3 children instead of two next year. The third child will have her own completely different thing going on!
I am thankful for... Spring! It is finally here. It did snow here three days ago, but none of it stuck! Praise the Lord!
From the kitchen...Last week preplanning my menu sure helped a lot. That is the hardest part for me. I don't mind cooking so much when I have a plan and the ingredients! Kitchen work doesn't come easily to me!
I am wearing... my blue jeans and a denim shirt with black and gray Smartwool socks. I also have on a grey jacket as it is cool in here.
I am creating....a real home. That is something I lacked growing up - we lived in a house, but it wasn't an inviting place to be. Here we eat together, play together, learn together, work together...we enjoy one another and pray and worship together.
I am going... to Boulder, Colorado to visit with my sister and her family while they are there for a soccer tournament for my nephew. We are looking forward to seeing them.
I am reading...the Rose Years sequel #3 to the Little House Books. It is called the Land of the Big Red Apple.
I am hoping...that our new grass will grow in the places that our yard lacks it, and that we can get some new flower gardens put in this week.
I am hearing...the girls playing with their Littlest Pet Shop toys that I got them at the garage sale yesterday and someone mowing in the distance.
Around the house...It isn't exactly clean, but it is sort of picked up. It is Sunday, and so I enjoy the Sabbath as a holiday to the Lord. I did get the school room closet cleaned and organized this week. Yahoo!
One of my favorite things... talking to my sisters on the phone.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week....This will be the last week of our homeschooling this year. I found two weeks of school scheduling from the beginning of the year that I had lost, which shows me that we've done more than enough school this year. I hope to get my Sonlight order in soon - hopefully they will deliver it to the house, but Fed Ex Ground notoriously calls us and makes us drive 12 miles to a house by the highway and pick up our packages. I asked Sonlight not to use Fed Ex Ground, but they didn't read my note, I guess. Once I have all my stuff, I can start planning how to schedule the new year.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
These are the toys that the girls are playing with.
I LOVE those photos of the girls! My girls also love the "Little Pets.' (Julie says to say "Hi" to 'C'.)
I am also really getting anxious about schooling three kids.
Can I ask...what are you going to be 'using' for Kindergarten? (I still don't have a plan yet.) :-(
That swing looks really fun! Does it hold an adult?
I could stay in something like that all day! LOL!
Angi over at Peakmore Academy uses this Simple Woman's Daybook, and I enjoy reading her entries on the subject as well. This I loved:

You asked me about the field trips and which kid journeyed on these tours. The youngest went to see alligators, and all three traveled to the Museum of Natural Science to see the dinosaurs and a wealth of other wonders. Finally, the frog was in our flower bed in the front yard.
Love the new swing. James brought us a great swing from Guatemala, but now we're afraid to put it out because of the cat. : (
I can relate to grass woes. We finally had some in our backyard the last 2 years after years of trying. We came back from our trip Sat., to find 1/2 the backyard brown and dead. Something got to it. Sniff. Got to start over now.
Your Mexico trips sounds and looked wonderful. I know that was a great blessing to you.

Hi,
What fun pictures, Anna has some Littlest Pet Shop - and she is pretty silly sometimes!!! I'm glad it hasn't snowed here, but is has been cold for June! I like heat!!!
Thank you for the comment, sorry it is taking me so long to return the favor! I don't think we need a cow, it would give WAY more milk then we would know what to do with!! And I don't like milk! : ) But then we would have about all the kinds of animals.
One thing have I desired of the Lord that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To behold the beauty, the beauty of the Lord. To inquire in His temple, the temple of the Lord.
This is my everyday thoughts about being a mother to three little ladies (10, 9 and 4) and a toddler son. We serve God full-time, and I am a physician assistant. I have the most awesome husband in the world. I am trying to seek God with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my strength.
