Good Morning World! I had a wonderful night of sleep in my new bed! Here it is! Dh installed it last night:
He and a friend pulled all of the wood from the woods around here and built it from scratch. His friend had built beds like this before, and so taught dh how to do it. If you remember seeing dd10's bed, the railings in our loft and the railings on our front deck and steps, dh's friend also made these. Cool, eh?
I hope you enjoyed this show and tell. You can click on the image above if you'd like to see more similar show and tells.
ohhhhh WOW Carol !!!! I will for sure have to show Luke !!! He has talked about wanting to do this kind of handiwork. He is my hands on kind of boy. I wondered about the bunkbeds. I would LOVE for the boys to have that style in their room. I think I am going to have to get my older brother to help us make some bed frames. [0=

That is the coolest bed ever! I love it! But I have to tell you what my 5 year old dd said (hee hee). She pointed to the top centerpiece of the head board, you know the part that sticks up, and she said "he has to cut that twig off!" Kids sure are funny.

Wow - That is gorgeous! and it really 'fits' since you all live in the mountains. I wish I had the creativity to do neat stuff like that. I have always admired woodworking/projects made with wood - and I LOVE the 'knotty pine' look for decorating.
Congratulate your DH for a job well done!
That is an awesome bed! And I bet no one has one like it anywhere! Very unique. I think I would have a great night sleep in that one too!

Thank you so much for the verse the other day. I'm clinging onto it and some others to get me through each day. I'm VERY sick and know that IV's are around the corner. I can't do this much more. It's God's strength and the prayers that carry me through each minute.
One thing have I desired of the Lord that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To behold the beauty, the beauty of the Lord. To inquire in His temple, the temple of the Lord.
This is my everyday thoughts about being a mother to three little ladies (12, 10 and 5) and a three year old son. We serve God full-time, and I am a physician assistant. I have the most awesome husband in the world. I am trying to seek and serve God with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my strength.
