Show and Tell - Love Feast Fall 2009

Last Friday this motley crew, who happens to be our current Discipleship Training School, put on a love feast and foot washing for us.  The theme they chose was "Favorite Biblical Characters".  I came as Mary, the one who loved to sit at Jesus' feet.  Dh came as Lazarus, my brother.  Mountain Princess came as Queen Esther.  Snow Crystal came as the angel with the fiery sword, Bubbies came as Mary, Jesus's mother, and Little Critter came as King Josiah.  Here are pics of us in order of how I just listed it:

We ate at fancily decorated tables on the floor a very special meal created by the students.  They entertained us with singing, and washed our feet before the end of the evening.  It was a very nice evening.

Here are a few random pics of people enjoying themselves at the love feast.

Carol, this is such a great post! I loved the photos, what a wonderful evening you all must have had! I really liked your dh's costume as Lazarus...what a hoot! Thanks for sharing it with us :-)

I am so glad you all are having fun in the Lord and also having a servents heart.

I sure miss all your blogging but I am in the same boat just trying to do what I need to do. Doesn't leave a lot of extra time. I am very thankful you did join in on S&T Friday. It blesses me when you do. I am hoping soon to join WWU too. This saturday is Luke's b-day so I will be BUSY cleaning and getting ready for ALL Handsome's family to come over again.

That looks like so much fun! I absolutely LOVE your dh's costume! Pretty nifty idea.

It is interesting how God sometimes put things in our hearts that don't quite line up with our spouses hearts. And only He knows the purpose and the true direction and His ultimate plan. And, we can use that desire to pray more earnestly for missionaries (etc.) and to pray for our spouse, not so that they will come around to how we are led, but so that God will lead and direct us both in a clear way.

Praying for your previous boss. This is challenging time in this world I think in terms of freedoms and persecution, yet this too, I must be convinced, God will use.

Sorry to have been so neglectful about keeping up with your blog. I've just been doing less blogging in general lately. I pray for God's blessing for you and yours.
