Well...

Welcome to All!

I wish I could post about all the crazy happenings of my relatives and the adventures we had in Michigan, but that would probably take too long, and I don't really have all that much time. What I can tell you is that I have FINALLY completed Chapter 15 in Dark Prophet! YAYNESS! I've also started Chapter 16 now, I've titled all the rest of the Chapters so I won't have to scramble for them later, so all is well. My writing is progressing smoothly. I'm working on Chapter 6 in Six Feet Under, and I've been working on Death Angel quite a bit. I've posted Chapter 15 on the darkprophetthenovel blog, and I've created a blog on that same blog for Death Angel. I will make a third blog for one of the other books I've got when I decide which one should go there. Please check them both out, I appreciate any comments or criticisms any of you have. OOOOOH! I have some good news! I have started one more book (yes, one more) with a female main Character. Right now I don't have a permenant name picked out for the book, but right now it's called "Faceless, Nameless but not Forgotten". It should be all around fun for the rest of the year! Pray that I can finish Dark Prophet this year, and maybe submit it to Random House to get published. I pray you all good health, and happy hunting!

WAHOOOOOOO!!!! 200 COMMENTS AND MORE!

Welcome to All!

I FINALLY GOT TWO-HUNDRED COMMENTS! My Sister Isi and my very good (and new) Friend Katy (or Jo Rowling, for all y'all Inklings out there) Helped me get there. Well, that's not all. I'm going on vacation again! To the Great Land of Michigan! My Grandpa on my Dad's side is having his 80th Birthday, and it's sorta like a family reunion for us. I GET TO SEE MY SIS! My real sis, not one adopted on here. She's been a world traveler (like me) this year, being in college and all, going on a missions trip from the Canadian border to Texas, then going to the area around Kentucky where she is now. She's coming up with my Aunt and Uncle for this. So, I won't be posting or writing for about nine days or so :-( But I'll be right back on it when I get back. I hope y'all have fun while I'm gone. Seeya later!

TIME FOR ANOTHER ONE!

Welcome to All!

Well...I MADE IT! I have returned from my vacation. Okay, I can't tell all about everything, but I can say that the people who fly nowadays are WEIRD! Not all of them, most are really nice, but there were weirdos. Oh, yeah, I am kinda mad, 'cause somebody STOLE MY IDEA FOR DEATH ANGEL! Okay, not so much. Some guy (or girl, I didn't really read the name) already wrote a book, sorta one of those cheap cheesy ones at the supermarket counters, I guess about a girl that was a seductress of death or something. It probably won't hurt if I write Death Angel and keep the title, 'cause it should be completely different. The flight from Atlanta, GA, to Salt Lake City, UT went well. I didn't get any writing at all done because of the cramped, so unfortunately my ideas got scrapped in flight. But hey, that's life. However I will go ahead and put down what ideas I came up with while golfing and enjoying time with my Grandparents. Arivaderchi!

Where is Theynore?

Welcome to All!

As you all may know, I haven't posted in eons. I FINALLY HAVE! I do hope this will satisfy your need for me to post Pippers. All of my writing goes slow, mostly because I procrastinate terribly. However, I hope to change this and get some done when I go on vacation. What? You say I didn't tell you I was going on vacation? How rude of me! I am going to visit my grandparents tomorrow. (oh, I can't tell you where, but I can say that I will be flying) As for some of the comments I've got, I am terribly sorry I didn't get back and reply to those. Sadly, yet happily, I have been kept busy earning money and getting packed for this trip and have not had time to reply. But do not fear! I have read them and hope to finish completing those comments soon. I will also not be commenting on anything or posting anything until next Saturday late, or Sunday. Oh, and I say HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the great Dad's in the world! Especially our Heavenly Father, Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ. Now I shall shower and go to bed. G'nite Y'all!

!!!!ATTENCION!!!!ATTENCION!!!!

Welcome to All!

Well, many of you have probably noticed that I haven't posted in a while. I caught a bad virus in the middle of February that lasted for two weeks, and I was unable to do any School or Writing during that time. Now that I am getting caught up with my schoolwork I am going to begin writing more, probably mostly in Dark Prophet, because I believe that with the Lord's help and inspiration I can probably get it done between now and April. Now, all of you are probably wondering if this is all I have to say, and thankfully no it isn't. I would like to know how many of you would like to recieve updates as to when I have completed a new segment of writing for DP, 6FU, DA, Eyes or any of my other books. If you would, please comment and I will make sure to keep a log of those who would like an update and I'll PM all of you when the pieces are hot off the press, so to speak :-D. Well, on with the dreaded Algebra II :-p.

I've Gots me a Friend!!!

Welcome to All!

Okay, so this friend of mine has a new blog, you might have seen it around. It's for a band he started called "Recieving Sight" and he's asked me to do a bit of advertising to see if he can get some more friends and feedback for the band. He may add some stuff like music and spruce it up a bit later, but now it's going to be pretty plain and simple. I hope this helps get the word out.

~T

P.S. To all my Loyal Readers: I'm going to be writing in spurts through until probably when school lets out in may, so if I don't post an excerpt for a while, don't be too surprised. God Bless!

Death Angel

Welcome to All!

As most of you have seen I have put together a list of books and projects I have started and want to finish relatively soon. You might have guessed that I really didn't want to think of, or start thinking of things to do other than what I already have started. But I came across this idea and I just couldn't resist! Enjoy!

This is an excerpt of "Death Angel" by ThrillAuthor. Please do not copy it in any form or fashion, All rights reserved.

  Prologue

The silvery moonlight shown bright on the backwoods road as the Sherriff’s car bounced along. Corey Biddle and Jeremy Brown were the Sherriff and deputy of Paris Tennessee. Small-town America was in their blood, and one of their own was missing. Not on the force actually, but it was one of the most popular little girls in town. She had been reported as missing six hours ago, and they were determined to find her. Everyone in the town adored her, and it was hard to think someone would commit such a heinous act. Jeremy rested his elbow on the dash and stroked his short beard in consternation.

“Where could she be?” Jeremy said, half to himself and half out loud.

“I don’t know,” Corey replied, “but wherever she is, we’ll find her. I have a feeling…”

Corey was cut short. The headlights of the truck rested on a body lying in the middle of the old dirt road.

“What is that?” Jeremy questioned, “Do…do you think it’s…”

“Couldn’t be,” Corey said, “It’s too big to be her. Let’s check it out.”

Corey and Jeremy exited the truck and jogged up to the body. A gangly looking stranger met their gaze as they came closer to the body. Wiry brown hair, black eyes, tattered clothing; definitely not from around Paris. All around the body they could see lacerations, blood, burn marks, even some bone protruding here and there. Corey withdrew his flashlight from his belt and shown it on the figure.

“He’s dead,” Corey said, “might just be who we’re looking for though. Come on Jeremy, help me throw him in the back and will continue on.”

Jeremy nodded and came over to help Corey with the body. The picked up the legs and arms to lift him up, but when they did the tattered shirt fell off, and beheld a gruesome sight that nearly made each of them wretch. Written in the skin of the victim was a note, and as they read on the story told chilled them both.

“Hello,” the note started, “whoever finds this wretched soul will surely guess he was one of the lowlifes who kidnapped Darla May, the little girl who stole the heart of Paris. You’ll probably find his companion strung high outside where they are keeping her. Go two miles up the road, and take a right for a mile, on foot for there is no path. Good luck.

-         Death Angel”

Jeremy lost his grip, for the stench of the decaying body, and oddly enough sulfur overcame Jeremy’s willpower. As the body came to a thud on the ground, a metal fire-prod came through the dead man’s chest, still hot from the fire.

“Sorry Corey,” Jeremy said, “this bodies’ getting to me.”

“Me too,” Corey said.

They heaved the body into the back of the truck and jumped in. They drove down the road two miles and then parked the truck.

“Ready for a hike?” Corey asked.

“Are you?” Jeremy retorted in a playful manor.

Crickets chirped and the crisp night air bit at their skin, almost in a foreboding, ominous way. Step by step they pressed forward, cutting through the dense brush and logs that littered the way. It seemed like hours passed until they reached a clearing that beheld an abandoned cabin, or so it looked. There was an old oak out front, and as they walked around to get to the front door they saw what the message was saying. Above them, probably ten feet, was a man, swaying in the breeze hung from the neck. A chill ran up and down Jeremy’s spine.

“Come on,” Corey said, “she’s got to be in here!”

He lunged for the door and found it locked, so he stepped back and with brute force, and his left leg, kicked in the stubborn door, tearing the hinges off and splintering the centuries’ old wood. The beam from his flashlight searched the dark room for any sign of the little girl. It was a small one room cabin, not much in it. Just a few pieces of furniture, a cabinet with a sink below it, a counter, a table with a glowing lamp on it, a small fireplace, but no Darla.

They both listened hard, but all they could here was the slow crackle of the flame in the lamp and the whistle of the wind, the sounds of crickets floating in the air. Jeremy gave a heavy sigh of despair, and Corey looked around the cabin for any sign that she might be there. A small voice drifted on the air, and it startled both of them. It was hard to discern the direction it was coming from, but Corey motioned to the floorboards. The sound became louder, and gave way to a muffled crying sound.

Corey spotted a trap door underneath the table and said, “Jeremy!”

He motioned to the door and slowly opened the door, while Jeremy came towards him and shone his flashlight down the hole.

“Darla!” he cried out.

A small child with blond hair, blue eyes and freckles climbed up the ladder, tears staining her face. She jumped onto Corey and latched on, sobbing into his shoulder, babbling about home.

“Shh, shh. It’s okay, it’s okay.” Corey said, “It’s okay.”

“We’re here to take you home,” Jeremy said.

Darla just kept crying as she held tight to Corey. Jeremy went first, and Corey followed, still carrying Darla in his arms. They walked all the way back to the truck, careful not to trip over the debris around. For the time they walked it seemed like it took longer to get back to the truck than it did to get to the cabin. Just as they reached the truck the fog began to roll in.

“Just in time,” Corey said.

Jeremy nodded as he took a body bag from the truck. He dragged the dead man from the back of the truck and zipped him up in the bag so the morgue could tell who he was. Darla had cried herself to sleep, and so Corey laid her on the seat in between Jeremy and himself. Jeremy came back into the truck and they made a u-turn back to Paris, Darla safely between them. From the shadows a man with a white mask watches as the truck disappears in the distance. He turns and walks away, knowing where he must go next.

Chapter 14

Welcome to All!

I have finally gotten together an excerpt of Chapter 14!!! To all my fans I want to thank you for sticking with me this long. This isn't all of fourteen, as it is still in the making, but I should be able to press on and get the rest of it done. Once again, thanks.

This is an excerpt from 'Dark Prophet' by ThrillAuthor. Please do not copy it in any form or fashion, All rights reserved.

The invisible force was still holding him to the couch. The Master walked around the desk towards him. “Let me tell you something Blagdon,” he said as he began to pace between the two officers and the safe, “If there is one thing I hate more than this opposition the puny infidels field, it is a traitor. You were weak minded to even think that I wouldn’t be ready. I have ways of knowing. And I am more powerful than even you know.”

Breathing hurt and Blagdon could barely stay conscious to hear the reproach.  The words cut, but more than the pain that marred his chest and restrained his breathing was the fact that he had failed the coup d’état that was almost picture perfect in every way. There would be no way Terrin would accept his apologies. Forever would this moment be scarred on his mind, and tears began to roll down his cheeks as he thought over this. But he knew what the Master was saying was true as well. He was powerful, and to have even thought he could double-cross him was futile.

It seemed as though the Master would keep him there indefinitely and there was little room to lead to doubt of this. The pacing the Master continued to do was driving Blagdon out of his mind, and at that very moment he wished he could just pass on into the next world. Slowly the padding of the Master’s shoes against the carpet became slower and farther between. He finally stopped at the safe and bent down to pick up the backpack that was resting right next to the safe.

He weighed it with his hand and reached into the backpack and came out with a stack of bills. The Master smiled crookedly as he looked at the bills and then back at Blagdon. “You know,” he said, “you really could have thought up a better lie than that.” At that the Master tossed the money back in the backpack, dropped it on the floor and walked hastily over to Blagdon. “You know,” he said, “I’m going to enjoy this.” Blagdon’s eyes opened wide in fear. If the beatings were mild, what else could he expect from the Master?

The Master took the glass from the desk and drought the last drops of water from it. In a flash he hurled the glass at Blagdon’s chest and when it connected it smashed into a thousand shards, all sticking into Blagdon’s already bloody and broken chest. A cry of pure agony rose from Blagdon’s throat. The pitch and volume rose so high it shattered the glass in the window behind the Master. The Master raised his right arm and stretched his palm to face Blagdon.

Pain shot through Blagdon’s chest, and he realized that the glass shards were being removed from his chest. The Master flung them into the wall behind himself, and then a searing pain spread through Blagdon’s chest. The skin which had been embedded into the very muscle and bone was growing back, in a most excruciating way that was almost making Blagdon faint at the pain. Slowly the skin and muscle returned to its prior state, and Blagdon almost thought that the Master was going to heal him and take him back. The look in his eyes told him different.

There was a pressure getting stronger on his heart, and Blagdon looked down, and then at the Master. From the outside Blagdon could not see what was going on, but as he looked at the Master’s outstretched hand it was clenching into a fist. In that moment Blagdon realized that the Master was crushing the life from his heart. His breaths got shorter. Sweat beaded his forehead. Through the ceiling behind the Master, the demon Terrin dropped to the floor. “Terrin!” Blagdon screamed in delight, even as his  heart was being crushed, “Help me!”

Terrin walked over behind the Master and around to Blagdon, only showing in his human state. “Hello Blagdon,” Terrin said, “Look at you, quite a predicament you’re in.” Without a pause Terrin back-handed Blagdon on his left cheek, leaving a stinging mark. “You fool!” he screamed, “You failed to kill the Master! Little did the little fool know that he couldn’t kill the Master! You’re soul is mine!” Blagdon looked terrified, first at the Master, then back at Terrin. Terrin reached through Blagdon’s chest, visibly piercing his stomach, and he latched onto Blagdon’s soul. Blagdon gave a cry of pain and fear, the fires of hell were lapping through Terrin’s fingers into his very core.

Terrin began to pull, and as Blagdon looked down he could see his own soul being pulled through his stomach. In an effort to bring himself back he lunged forward, still being held to the couch. “Vengeance will get you nowhere boy!” the Master said in a vengeful voice. It appeared to Blagdon he couldn’t see Terrin grasping his soul. “NOOOOOOOOOO!!!” Blagdon screamed. It was of no avail. Terrin pulled his soul out and Blagdon was plunged into a fiery darkness.

The Master let his hand slump down to his side as Blagdon’s head rolled to one side, his eyes noticeably glazed over. He snapped his fingers and the officers came back into action. “There!” the first Sergeant said, clearly shocked to find Blagdon slumped over on the couch. The second Sergeant felt for a pulse and found none. He shook his head to the others in signification of his findings. The Master lowered his head in sorrow, and the other Sergeant came to the couch to aide his friend in picking up the body.

Chapter 13

Welcome to All!

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!! I was able to finish Chapter 12 and Chapter 13 today!!!! It's been a long time since I touched DP, so it was high time I worked on it. I hope you enjoy this excerpt from DP!

This is an excerpt from 'Dark Prophet' by ThrillAuthor. Please do not copy it in any form or fashion, All rights reserved.

Blagdon barely heard the refrain; he was still making his way over to the desk slowly. “I don’t know what you mean,” he said, “I mean everything I say, and I meant everything I said. You don’t seem to believe me at all. You think I am a liar and a coward…” Blagdon was cutoff by the Master, “I did not say you were coward. But you freely admitted it! Which means that you must be; which also must prove that YOU were the one who pulled the trigger yesterday morning!”

The Master raised an accusing finger at Blagdon, which was the cue for the sergeants to apprehend him. But before they could react Blagdon dove for the first sergeant’s gun and whipped it out. He put the sights on the Master’s chest and pulled the trigger. The bullet flew and slapped into his heart. But there was no blood. The hole closed up, yet there was one hole in the wall behind the Master. Blagdon fired again, and the same thing happened. He shot the Master in the head and tried again, but he failed. The gun began to click and he dropped it.

The Master was smiling and laughing. The ground shook again as he snapped his fingers together. Blagdon felt a rush like wind pass by him, and then felt stillness. He looked behind him and saw the sergeants bending towards him, frozen in time. “You see,” the Master began, “I cannot die. Not until my reign is final. Anyone that stands in the way, I will crush.” When he said this a cockroach appeared in his hand. “Just like you,” he said as he crushed the cockroach in the palm of his hand. He blew the remains off and they caught fire and disappeared.

Blagdon was terrified. He backed up and fell to the floor, scooting his way backwards trying to think of things to say; to do that might change the Master’s mind about killing him. ‘The money’ he thought, ‘I can tell him about the money!’ “The money,” Blagdon said under his breath. “What was that Blagdon?” the Master asked, a surprised look spreading over his face. “The Money,” Blagdon said again, louder this time, “I was taking the money to send to someone.” A slow grin returned to the Master’s face.

“Why? Why do you need to send this money to someone? Hmm Blagdon?” the Master asked, amused at this turn of events. “I was stealing it for Maurin.” Blagdon said, “He wanted me to get it for him to send to someone who needed it.” The Master turned and paced to the window and back behind the desk. “Why would a dead man want you to send money to send someone Blagdon? Of all people you should know that he wasn’t capable of something like that.”

“Well he was.” Blagdon said. The Master shot him a piercing glare as he spoke, “You aren’t even to be a cockroach you filth! You know lying is a sin. You need to pay for your sin! There is no honor among thieves.” An unspeakable force threw him into the couch beside him, righting him up and pressing him to the couch. “Begin,” the Master said. The Billy clubs in the sergeant’s belts were taken out by an invisible hand and began striking him, the one on the right first, and the second one after the first, like drums.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack! The blows fell on his chest and arms and Blagdon could feel them breaking the bones underneath flesh. He let out howls of pain, but they fell on deaf ears. The world was frozen in time, and the Master and he were the only ones alive. The Master smiled as he sipped the water left on the desk. He craved the pain that he was inflicting upon Blagdon. Pure fear and adrenaline were running in Blagdon, and he knew that.

The power; it was the only explanation Blagdon could think through the pain that he was enduring. Blood was beginning to stain his shirt, and he knew that his skin was breaking. Each blow gained intensity, and for some odd reason, heat. The screams were not affecting Blagdon’s throat, or the compassion of the Master. All he did was stand and stare, drinking in the intoxicating power he held over this weak follower of his. Words began to form between blows in his pain and agony. “PLEASE!” he shouted. “Please what?” the Master retorted. “PLEASE STOP!” Blagdon screamed. “Okay,” the Master said with a crooked smile. He snapped and the clubs went back into their holders on the officers belts.

Something Along the Lines of This...

A young man walks into a bar and orders a drink. He seems depressed, and so downs it quickly and orders another. He downs a third shot, and then searches for his wallet to pay. He searches frantically and can’t find it. He looks at the owner with frightened eyes. Seeing the panic the man is he decides that for once it is okay that he doesn’t need to pay.

“It’s on the house.” He said.

“Thanks.” The young man mumbled.

He got up and walked out of the door and started for his car which was parked three blocks away. On the way he decided to take a short cut through a snowed over alley. He laughed softly to himself as he took his wallet out of his pocket and flipped it in the air. Suddenly he was caught from behind and a lead pipe quickly sent him into a deep, painful sleep. The pick-pocket dropped the weapon beside the young man and picked the wallet that had fallen into the snow drift near a dumpster when the blow had come upon the young man.

Greedily the pickpocket counted the money stuffed in the wallet. He reached the opposite end of the alley from which he entered when a sharp pain caught his back. His eyes went up and glazed over as he crumpled into the snow. Red blood stained his jacket and the snow around him, and a hooded figure steps from behind him and wipes a switchblade off on the left pant leg of his jeans. It is a meth addict needing money, who witnessed the mugging and wanted the wallet. He reaches down and pulls the cash from the wallet and tosses it on the dead man which lay before him.

***

Of the three of these people which did the worst offense? Most, if not all of you would say the meth addict. And in human terms you would be correct. However the answer is that all of these offenses are on equal terms. All three of these men broke the law, and would equally go to prison if they were caught. Their sentences would be the only thing that would vary between them. The meth addict would go away anywhere from life to death row, the pick-pocket would go away from three months to a few years, most likely becoming more serious and his term lengthening because he assaulted the man who had the wallet, and the man who did not pay for his drinks would get community service or a few months in prison. Their records would be marred and they would be looked down on in society, therefore they are all on equal terms.

In the same way God looks at all of us in the same manor. We break his laws we are all on equal terms. We all committed sin whether we kill someone like the meth addict, or if we skip out on paying the bill or taxes. The reason that we are all together on this is because we aren’t perfect, and by God’s standards we need to be perfect to rejoin him in heaven one day. Everyone is in a sorry state if we try and make it alone. But because Jesus Christ came down amongst us and died for our sins we can come back to God and live for eternity with him and Jesus. To do this we must accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and acknowledge that he was and is the Son of God. After this is done we need to be baptized to receive the Holy Spirit to guide us throughout our earthly walk with God, and with the Holy Spirit in us we can witness to others and serve those in need as James clearly states; anyone in need, anywhere, anytime.

We all fall short, and though we accept Jesus this still remains. We are blameless but we can still fall. This is each battle that we face each day is a test of our faith. If we fall we make sure that we dust ourselves off, repent of our mistake and then keep trucking on. Each experience we have can be a lesson for others down the road that we meet in other circumstances like ours, and we need to make sure we recognize them in order to aid that person in their time of need. Keep your eyes open and may God go with you for the rest of your time on this earth.
