At our last Louisiana Family Camp, Nancy Campbell tripped over an uneven piece of sidewalk and broke her left arm. Unfortunately the break was in a vertical direction on the upper humerus bone near the shoulder. The nature of the break requires surgery to pin the bone back against the arm to secure it in place for proper healing.
Nancy was warned at the emergency room in La. that waiting to get the necessary surgery could cause severe permanent restrictions on the use of her left arm.
Our LA Above Rubies coordinator spoke with her today and discovered that she has had only one x-ray since returning home. It was determined that her arm has made little progress. The Campbell's have thus far accumulated $2,500 in medical expenses and Nancy is hesitant to incur more debt for the necessary surgery. To complicate matters, about a week ago while packing for a camp, a stack of books fell on her broken arm. Her helper reports that after six weeks, Nancy is still in a great deal of pain at night.
Nancy has been like a lighthouse to young mothers, sacrificially teaching them in the ways that are right. There are countless testimonies of healed marriages, and welcomed children because of her many sacrifices. Nevertheless, it appears the enemy is trying to stop the wonderful ministry of Above Rubies.
The Above Rubies Ministry is a non-profit magazine, website and organization supported by the generous and loving donations of its readers. Above Rubies is a FREE Magazine, if you do not yet receive Above Rubies magazine please feel free to subscribe HERE for FREE. If you already receive this wonderful magazine and have never made a donation to AR, now is the time to prayerfully consider making a donation to bless and encourage Nancy as she has so often blessed and encouraged us!
Please join us in praying that the Lord would direct the Campbell's steps, that her bone will mend, and for finances to cover any past or future expenses.
Nancy would never ever request for donations or ask for help financially but I know that it would be a great blessing to help in this way. The Homeschool Lounge has set up a donation button, with the Campbells permission for donations via Paypal. Donations can be sent via Paypal to the following email address Administrator@thehomeschoollounge.com or click on the button below to make a donation now! No matter the amount $1, $5, $10 or more anything would be a blessing for Nancy!
If you do not have a Paypal account and would like to help Nancy with a donation, donations toward the medical expenses should be sent to PO Box 681687 Franklin, TN 37068-1687. Checks should be made out to Nancy or Colin Campbell.

Remember I am only an email away!
Good Morning Ladies, I am so very sorry for my absence the past couple of days. We (family & I) have all been sick with the Flu and it has not been pretty. I am feeling much better now and hope it will pass the children quickly.
I am also dealing with some feminine / health issues and praying for a complete healing for my body from all sickness and disease! The following scripture spoke out to me today for more reasons then one...
Exodus 15: 26And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
Submission
Submission is a willingness to yield or surrender. Today Im talking about submission to a Higher Power the God who made us. He doesnt demand that you submit; He gave you a free will. Do you every wonder what would have happened in the Garden of Eden if Adam had submitted to Gods instruction? He chose to disobey God. When I read the first three chapters of Genesis, I realize that it was Gods plan to have a close relationship with His children. Through Christ Jesus we have access to God and His original plan for man if we yield to His instruction, if we humble ourselves before Him. Jesus said, If you abide in Me and My Word abides in you, ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I humble myself before You, Your will not mine be done. I will mediate on your Word day and night. By the grace of God I will be an obedient doer of your Word, so my pathway will be prosperous and successful. I renew my mind to your Word, and pray that your Word will dominate my thoughts, words and actions. I submit to Truth so that I will not be seduced or deceived by the works of the devil. I am strong in you, Lord, and in the power of your might. Today, I choose Life and the Blessings of Deuteromony 28. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
I pray that each of you has a very blessed week; may you hear Him and feel HIS presence in all that you do!

Matthew 13 18Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
May we not allow the wicked one to take Gods word from our heart..through trials, through joys, tribulations and stresses...may we stand unwavering and strong, grounded in his word through faith and by HIS grace!

In the last days there will be wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes and famine (Matthew 24). These are the signs of the times...the last days in which we are living. Fear can become a stronghold in our lives. In her book, Shattering Your Strongholds, Liberty Savard writes that fear "is erected around great apprehension and anxiety over unresolved experiences and memories." Ask God to show you how to resolve past painful experiences. Practice praising God and meditate on Psalm 91, Isaiah 41:10, John 14:27, 2 Timothy 1:7 and Psalm 56:3-4. When you face your fears they will fall helplessly behind you. Choose to believe God's word and drive fear out of doors.
Free From Fear
Father, in the name of Jesus, we shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow [the evil plots and slanders of the wicked] that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprises and lay waste at noonday. We establish ourselves on righteousness in conformity with God’s will and order. We shall be far from even the thought of oppression or destruction, for we shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near us. Amen.
