Show~N~Tell & Frugal Friday!

Posted in Frugal Living

Its that time again!!! Show & Tell time!

Kelli over at “There Is No Place Like Home is hosting Show and Tell Friday.

Mary is also hosting on her blog “Raising 4 Godly Men”, Hop on over to their sites and join in the fun!

I want to take you all along to one of our favorite little spots, just minutes down the road from our home. This is our  “special” treat about twice a month and we loooove it! Welcome to our Neighborhood Ice Cream Parlor! The owner is a friend from many years ago before I had littles; he is the voice for “Scooby Doo”! He has done the last two movies and makes a living off his voice and selling ice cream!

This place is amazing it has a “Movie Theme" and Old Hollywood flavor, with a  a 50's style. It's lots of fun for the little ones and nothing too “bad” for our little ones.

As you walk in you see this...

Brothers enjoying Ice Cream (Cotton Candy Flavor)

Spider Man, Spider Man... (My boys barely know who spider Man is LOL)

Thanks for the Ice Cream stop "Papa"!

My sweet boy, my cutie patootie Ashton!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For frugal Friday I want to share something very simple and “Frugal”
We recycle our wipe containers for Toys, we don’t usually buy the containers we buy the bags and refill the containers but when we have babies we seem to get a lot of these as gifts. We love them and will take um any time. We use them to sort out the boys’ tiny toys and with boys there are lots of them.
Tiny cars, Tiny Dinos, Tiny Men, Tiny airplanes, trains and little bugs, lots of bugs!!!
They are a very neat and tidy way to organize the toys that go in our toy bins! It’s a blessed thing!
For more Frugal finds, tips and suggestions head over to Crystal's Blog
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Homeschool open house is under way and the response has been amazing, we have over 200 Homeschool moms participating to share a bit of encouragement and fellowship! To learn more and participate go HERE to check out all the wonderful folks that have donated "Door Prizes " to make this event even more special go  HERE!

Share a Blessing! Send to a Friend!

Yum, that ice cream looks so good! I loved the pictures of your favorite ice cream place; your boys are so precious!
I use wipe containers to hold things as well, especially toiletry items in the bathroom. They are so very useful!

Oh, what FUN ! One of my very favorite childhood memories of my Dad and Mom. Was they would take us out for a ice cream cone at 31 Flavors or a BIG Hot Fudge Sunday at Cocoa's ( like a fancy Denny's). When we went for the Hot Fudge Sunday's I always got my Dad's cherry on top (0= ! Your boys for sure will remember this tradition and will love remembering it !!! I bet they will take their kids there when they have some. (0;

God Bless my SSiC

OH! That icecream store looks so fun. I'd go there just to look. OK, that is a lie. I'd eat icecream and look! I like your idea for Frugal Friday. I am off to Walmart today to buy 3 crates for our school books. The moving boxes are not the look I am going for right now. ;-)
Have a great weekend, Tiany! I appreciate your blog so much.

that's cool you know the voice of scooby (I personally would rather my son watch Spiderman over scooby doo, but to each his own)

so with that said, My son knows who spiderman is....seen the movies and we are watching the cartoons that were on in the mid-90's that I remember watching....we had seen some from the 60's but too "psychodelic" for me and we saw the new ones with N.P. Harris as the voice of spiderman and they are too violent. But the ones I watched were good, except for the whole madame web part...

oh and thank for the wipes tub idea! going to put that to use right away!

As for the scooby doo thing, my boys don't watch it or spider-man, I often wonder if i am too strict in what we allow the boys to watch but your comment made me feel normal again! Thanks!

Oh that looks like so much fun! When I was little we use to take an annual summer holiday down island and there was this little coca cola diner with all sorts of memorabilia and movie stars black and white photos on the walls of marilyn munroe and james dean and so on : )

When my oldest was little, they had these wipe boxes that looked like giant Legos. Well, at the Walmart that I shopped at they had them cheeper than any other kind, even cheeper than generic ones. Plus each one had a 50 cent off coupon on them for the next round. We still have all those giant blocks for the children to play with! We keep them at my mom's since she has more room. They love to build walls with them!
