Monday Meanderings

To learn more about "Monday Meanderings" and or to choose the graphic of your choice go HERE!

Update:
Troy took the boys to his parents for a couple hours and I stayed home to do my "Home Blessing" and a few other much needed chores. We have friends coming over to spend the day with us so there will be no time for cleaning I have everything ready to be thrown into the crock pot for our lunch and the home is clean n tidy!

  1. Bible Study/ Devotions ~ This week I will be starting Nancy Campbell's Bible Study  "The Power of Motherhood". My very Dear friend “Tina” from “A Woman's Journey Home” is hosting this study on her “Power Of Motherhood Study” blog!   I have had this book for some time, I won it at an Above Rubies gathering for Ladies and I have yet to read it so this will be a real blessing im sure!

  1. "Must Do"~ This week I “Must”
  • Home Blessing (Monday) Done
  • Finish organizing/ packaging the “Door Prizes” and contacting the rest of you lovely ladies that participated in the Open House.
  • Transplant some of our potted plants
  • Go to the gym or exercise 3 x’s this week

  1. Zone~ I am in Zone 2 this week the “Bathrooms”! Along with the regular basic cleaning I will do more detailed cleaning. You can view all of my household “Zones” in the left sidebar.

  1. Train Them Up~ This week and the next,  we will be doing a unit study on the "Fruits Of The Spirit" it includes 9 lessons so we will spread it out over the next two weeks! You can find this study and many more over at "Daniels Place". We will start with My Fathers World 1st Grade in September!

  1. Menu Planning~ I am cookin up one new meal I saw yesterday on the Food Network and one tried and true from the Food Network. I want to go back to trying one new recipe each week. Menu is below!

Monday: Chicken Enchiladas

Tuesday: Retro-Metro Fancy Tuna Casserole (I use canned tuna and I have changed the seasoning up a bit and used bread crumbs instead of old bread! OK, So I changed the recipe completely! LOL It’s still yummy!)

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f118/my3arrows/tiany/tuna_casserole_e.jpg

Wednesday: Leftovers / Picnic dinners

Thursday: Asian Sesame Chicken salad with Honey rolls

Friday: Pizza night

Saturday: My Mom is Off and will be cooking!!!

Sunday: Supper with Troys Parents

Dessert: Fresh Fruits, granola and whipped topping!

Here is a fabulous new breakfast recipe we love, as usual I change a couple things but all in all it is delicious, quick and easy!

Baked French Toast Casserole with Maple Syrup

I love your idea for Monday Meanderings! I will be joining in for certain. Menu Plan Monday really is helpful for organizing meals, but I can most definitely use help organizing the rest of my week!

I'm so excited to hear about the Power of Motherhood Study blog!!! I purchased several of Nancy Campbells books last year and have read them all. I attempted to start a Power of Motherhood study group with some ladies at my church, but much to my dismay could not generate enough interest, if you can believe it!! So I'm going to head over and check out this blog immediately!

Aug. 20, 2007 - My Father's World

Hi Tiany,

We were looking at My Father's World and at Five in a Row curriculum for our children. I have heard good reviews about both. We decided to go with FIAR because we could purchase it locally. However, I wonder how you like My Father's World? Is it heavy in activities or fairly manageable? I will see how FIAR goes and if it doesn't suit our family I'm considering switching to My Father's World. I'd love to hear about your experience with it.

Sincerely,

Erna (http://erna-sweet-serenity.blogspot.com)

Good job on getting your home blessing done already.

Tiany,

I am with ya! Sounds like some good accountability here. I did get up and go to the gym at 5am too, only I woke up at 4:55 instead of 4:45, so I was off schedule by 30 min by the time I actually began at the gym, but all is well, it got done and well. YAY! Now to keep it up for the BFL 12 week challenge I am taking with myself and my dh is as well...that should help! Eventhough we can't go to the gym together.

I am in the process of looking for a good bible study, too. I was going thru the homeschooling with a meek and quiet spirit study guide recently, but have lost the main book apparently. :( I could really use a study like that! ;)

You are so organized! I found the post you have regarding the Orderly Mom Notebook and I wondered if you still sell them. I am so disorganized and cannot afford to be. I would love to put it together on my own but don't have the time to do it right now and would like to buy one if I can. Let me know. Thanks! -- Amy
