Monday Meanderings

If you would like to participate in  "Monday Meanderings”, and or to choose the graphic of your choice please go HERE!

1. Bible Study/ Devotions ~ This week I will be rereading Chapter 5 of Nancy Campbell's Bible Study  "The Power of Motherhood .  I know I have said it before but I cant relate enough how amazing this study has been so far. I  will try to post about it on Friday .

I have also been reading and studying in Proverbs This week I will study Proverbs 18-20

2. "Must Do"~ This week I “Must”

  • Home Blessing (You can view my HB on the left sidebar)
  • Ship out Packages that are ready
  • Make and send Orderly Mom notebooks that have been ordered
  • Exercise at least 3 x’s this week, start walking in the mornings, the weather is fabulous!!!
  • Give Kodi (our dog) a bath. I think I might teach Micah how to do this.
  • (I didn’t do this last week) Planning for the Holidays (just jot basic plans on paper and get pages organized into my Orderly Mom Notebook) Yep, I know it sounds soon but I have to plan early with 4 little ones under foot. Lots to plan this year… Christmas Homeschool Open House on my blog, Homeschool group Christmas party at our home, make plan for gifts we will be making, food to be made and this years Family Gatherings at our home for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

3. Zone~ I was able to complete one closet last week this week I will tackle the second closet. Getting rid of the clutter always feels good!

4. Train Them Up~ We will continue with our daily Bible lesson, character training and daily chores along with 1st time obedience training. One little mister has been showing lots of “spoiled/ it has to be my way or no way” attitudes so we will talk, read, study and work on this again!

5. Menu Planning~ All of my recipes from last week were a success and added to my meal roster!

My Banana-Sour Cream Cake did not look quite like the picture in the magazine but it sure was delicious!!!

The Chicken Parmesan Bundles were a hit too! Everyone really enjoyed them except Ashton who happens to be my picky eater.

Monday: Sloppy Joes with ground turkey Meat

Tuesday:  Grilled lemon pepper chicken tenders, garden salad and baked sweet potato’s

Wednesday: Leftovers/ Picnic Dinner (Just me n the boys)

Thursday:   Glazed Meatloaf

Friday:   No Pizza, we are getting a bit tired of pizza so we have come up with “Mexican night” we all love Mexican so we will save it for our “Friday Fiesta”

Layered Enchilada Bake

Saturday: Leftovers / Picnic Dinner (Just me n the boys)

Sunday: Dinner at Troy’s parents

Dessert: Layered Pumpkin Loaf

Tiany,
I love your Monday Meanderings posts, and I will soon be joining in on all of the time management fun! (Hopefully in a week or two!)

Thank you so much for your kind comments, they really mean so much! It is so nice to have so many people praying for us as we go through this...that is the only way I could possibly make it through this pain...with God holding me together, carrying me through it all! I truly don't know how anyone could go through this or any difficult losses without having their hope and faith in Christ...it just seems impossible, and going through trials and valleys always remind me of that...of how thankful I am for my savior!

I love the pictures you shared of the cake and chicken from last week, they look so delicious! Your menu looks so yummy for this week too! Have a wonderful week in the Lord!

Sounds like a great week, and that banana sour cream cake sounds scrumptious!!

I used to use the Holiday Grand Plan from Organized Home to prepare for the holidays for several years. It's good to plan and prepare ahead. :-)

Morning Tiany,
Completed my list of to-do's. I'll have to check up on everyone later on. Working my way out the door to work this morning (I'm still helping out DH).
BTW, I did a roaster with the Very Very Teriyaki sauce. Wow! this turned out so great! The kid talked about how tender it was, DH said cook it again 'and thanks for the hint'.

Blessings,

Sep. 17, 2007 - Kids clothing organization?

[I was wondering after reading your blog for awhile now since you have 4 children as well as I do could you share some tips or advice on storing children's clothing when not in use, or hand me downs that my children need to grow into. I want to be frugal about this but also oragnized with ease.
Any help would really help me!
Thanks for your wonderful blog that you keep!

I am finding writing my goals down has been so helpful. True, I didn't achieve many of my goals, but I was still on top of things. I knew where I was heading which is always a homing factor when life throws stuff at you!

My youngest son's name is Kodi. All of his dad's family has names that start with K. And I'm not sure why, but his dad also wanted it to end in I.
