Monday Meanderings

Well, I can officially say that my poor little blog is being neglected, this is not  my usual MM post but on the up side to that "Life" has been busy and good! Tonight we celebrated Troys fathers 70th Birthday at a local Italian Restaurant . We have been planning this surprise party for him for a few weeks now and we had a wonderful time with 30 of his closest friends and family!

He was shocked and overjoyed to see all the adoring faces staring back at him. We told Troys dad we were taking him out to dinner, he thought it would just be Troys mom, Troy , the boys and I so he was very surprised to say the least!

I was so flustered  trying to get the room set up with decorations, balloons, get us all ready, pick up the cake and have everything just right that I forgot my camera!!!!! MY CAMERA! My extra appendage, my other, other half.  Thankfully there were many photographers there taking pictures so I hope to receive an email full of pics soon.

Troys father is a professional photographer, our home church leader, teacher, pastor and the best Father / Father In Law any girl could ever hope or pray for. He loves our boys so deeply it beams from his eyes. He is a wonderful husband to Troys mother and he is the one we all turn to for Godly counsel or when something needs fixen! LOL We adore him!!!

We each prepared a little something to bless him with, I shared a poem and I couldnt make it through without crying and getting almost everyone in the room to cry with me!  Micah wrote and recited his own poem too, I cried for that as well! LOL I am such a nut!

We also had the above picture of Troy, his father and the boys framed and matted in a 5x7 frame, it came out lovely. On the back is an envelope with all of our letters, poems and cards from tonight's dinner.

In other news my "Surprise" is all ready to be unleashed so be sure to come back on Valentines Day for the big Announcement!

We have a busy week ahead with Homeschool Group outings, a Zoo day, lots of errands to run, Valentines Day, Valentines Day Dinner, baking and a birthday to start planning for the boys! Oh and laundry, laundry and more laundry!

Have a blessed and productive week!

Hugs & Blessings,

Tiany

The party sounds like it was really lovely!! There's nothing better than writing someone a poem. It's so personal and special. How wonderful that both you and your son did one! I love the idea of framing a special picture and putting all the letters and poems in an envelope on the back. So totally special!!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

God bless you - Julie

Sounds like you everyone had a wonderful time. He looks like a proud Grandpa who doesn't look at all his age, BTW.

Hi there Tiany!
I;ve missed you, too! Sorry bout the punctuation, some of my keys, like apostrophe for instance aren:t working for some reason.

Please send me the info for you:re project,. I can:t wait!

Believe it or not, that tub was in the bedroom....LOL I will miss the tub, but it was good to be home, too.

It looks like your FIL had a wonderful party, I bet he is blessed to have you in his life, too!

The sweet 16 party was wonderful, I:m glad you got to see the pics. I think it meant as much to me as it did to Autumn, maybe more...LOL

We took our tax money and bought a van. It:s a bit old but has only 104,000 miles and was a one owner vehile, so it:s been taken care of. It drives like a dream. We sold the truck for $100 and were able to transfer the plates that way. A mechanic bought it, so he can use it for parts anyway. All is well once again...hehe

Hope to talk to your more often now that things are a little less crazy around here.

Hugs,
Jenn

I won't have a regular MM post either. We just got home last night. DH is depressed and DS and I are a tad under the weather. So it's just a laundry and clean day in between several rest stops. Of course this week we hope to get back into a normal routine, check into taxes, and home education and swimming for DS and me ((that's Bible reading and Torah lessons)) and it will be so nice to see my fellow Messianic friends this weekend:-)

Happy Birthday Dad of Troy
70 years young, you're still a boy.
70 is such a wonderful age
each day turns a yellowed page
of dreams, and love and futures galore
May you have many more.

Because of Jesus, bobbie

Oh my sweet sister. (((HUGS))) I can just heart how busy life has been !!! I will pray for things to be a little less busy foy you soon. Today if you can pick up your cup of tea or coffee or hot cocoa and pause to hear the Lords voice. You are loved beyond belief and all you do for your family is cherrished and will be remembered. YOu are loved not just because you do all you do it is becasue you ARE YOU. I wish I was there to help in some ways. For instance when you had to do arrands and you didn't want to take the kids. Well, maybe Troy was able to do that. But I know you could have thought of something for me to help with. Even if it was a listening ear. (((hugs))) I can't wait till Thursday Sweetie !!!

Blessings and (((HUGS))) my SSiC and friend

Surprise parties are always so fun! (I had one many years ago thrown by our junior high youth group.) What a blessing that everyone came together to celebrate Troy's dad.

Boy, from the pictures, it's so obvious there's no shortage of "handsome genes" in those lines! ;) Awesome shot of the "guys" all together.

Beautiful story! What a blessing to have a father-in-law like that. Speaking from the side of not having a fil who is deeply involved with our family, with no alterior motives, you are REALLY, REALLY blessed! Don't ever take it for granted.

Umm....what was your big announcement? Did I miss it?
