Less Of Me~ More Of Him - Prayer for the Gulf Coast!

Prayer for the Gulf Coast!

Posted in Prayer Requests

Please be in prayer for those of us in the Gulf Coast states. (I know there are many of us) We continue to prepare as Gustav strengthens.

We are in Louisiana just outside of Baton Rouge and Troy works out of New Orleans. After hurricane Katrina hit, Troy moved to St. Louis for 4 months for work. (not good)

We do not expect to have the same outcome as Katrina but we do not know what to expect. We are praying that Gustav loses strength in the next day or two.

Our biggest concern right now is losing power, as we usually lose it for 3 to 5 days. (not good)
I will try to update as I can. :-)

Please continue to pray for Marsha and her family, today is the funeral for sweet Christian.

You can read updates on  Marsha's blog ...

Praying!! My dh is currently working in Pascagoula, MS, while we are in Kansas. I know how difficult it is for your hubby to be away from home. I hope Troy doesn't have to work elsewhere again.

Almighty God, we humbly ask that You fizzle this hurricane out before it reaches the US. You are mightier than this giant. We will trust in You.

Our whole church is praying for all of you this weekend. We have about 5000 members and we huddled in groups during service and were praying. I'm continuing to pray here at home!

Praying for you Tiany! This is really scary. I pray this storm is not as bad as Katrina. I have a homeschool friend who just moved to New Orleans this summer, so I'm really worried about her too.

I was thinking about you and your family today as we were securing things around the yard. It looks like we'll just get tropical storm winds here in South Alabama. My husbands office is in Gulfport I'm sure it'll probably get flooded some. I just want you to know that I'll be praying for God's protecting hand will be upon you and your family.

Hi Tiany:

I hope you are doing well. I saw pictures on the news tonight and it looks like it wasn't as bad as Katrina, but still bad. I saw downed trees and power-lines. I pray that you and your family are all safe and sound!! Take care, dear friend, and we're praying!! (((HUGS)))

God bless you ~ Julie

I didn't realize that you were in LA. I am assuming that since you haven't updated recently, you must be without power, or had to evacuate.

Praying things get back to normal soon for you.

I am having a contest on my blog to kick off my new meme. Stop by and take a look when you get a chance!
