Our Homeschool Room / Space

Posted in Homeschool

NBTSbloghop

Many of you know my blog has been sleeping for months! I figured now would be a good time to come out of hibernation with Darcy's fun Blog Hop and The Homeschool Open House!

This week Darcy has asked everyone to share their school areas in her "Not Back to School Blog Hop"

We do our lessons here, there and everywhere! Inside, outside, kitchen, living room, playroom, playhouse, in the car or even at the Dojo!

Our playroom / schoolroom

Troy teaches music lessons in the living room.

Work Station - Holds our "Workbox System" adapted for my 3 little ninjas, ages 4. 6 & 8. We use folders instead of drawers.

The boys are eating lunch in the clubhouse; they can be found doing lessons in here too.

On the deck outside.

In bed!

This is where most lessons are done...our kitchen!

Mr. Dominick... teaching letter sounds.

Hope you all enjoyed our little tour of our homeschool spaces.

Don't forget about our Homeschool Open House on THL ... it's the same Homeschool Open House I hosted on my blog in 2007 but with many more prizes!

Happy Blog Hopping!

I love how you don't just stick to the classroom. I tend to think that is the best thing to do, but now that our house is under construction, I enjoy the teaching here, there and everywhere. Your boys are getting big!!

I L-O-V-E your homeschool room, with the light and airiness!!

The music lesson picture is great. Those are some BIG drums you have!

We are also attempting to incorporate the workbox system. I'm on the lookout for similar tubs for my four kids.

It's great that you have learning going on everywhere-- outside, clubhouse, homeschool room, table, living room!! Thanks for including so many fantastic pictures.

Have a blessed year.

Took me awhile to find where to comment. So glad I did.

That music picture is TDF. What a beautiful thing that is. So cool.

Thanks for joining in on the NBTS Blog Hop! I know you're swamped - I enjoyed your workshop last week. :)

Tiany, like me, it looks as if you have (at least!) two spaces to complete your work. They are beautiful and look like rooms where the kids don't mind spending lots of time. That is what we try to create here, also. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Hey Girl! It's been such a long time! I haven't blogged in forever either! I need to catch back up or at least start up again. It was so fun seeing how your little men are growing! How do you do your workbook system? What is it?

As always, I loved your open house!! We don't have a school room at all, we mostly use our dining room, we will also use the car (for music appreciation) and the outdoors (nature study, or just for a fun change of pace). Education is life and it happens everywhere!

What a great space, Tiany! We use the kitchen now mostly, but we love to be outside too when the weather is nice and cool!

Oh I love the pictures of where you "do school". This year has been different for us because we are participating in something called Classical Conversations. I just love it. So sometimes we are at the kitchen table, sometimes in the school room, and sometimes standing in the foyer where we practice our history timeline.
