Instead of New Year’s resolutions, make Goals! I have never been one to make New Years resolutions, I prefer to set goals. Goals are where you are headed, we should always strive to be better and do better; never stay stagnant. Goals require a plan with incremental steps, if you fail, you try again or modify your approach, but you don’t give up on a goal.

Get ready as we will start not one but two book clubs on THL in 2009!

The Book Nook will host "Bookmarks Book Club" a monthly book club in The Book Nook focusing on works of fiction, both contemporary and classic. The first book will start January 1st with Lisa Samson's Quaker Summer, which was Women of Faith's 2007 Novel of the Year, one of Publishers Weekly's Best Books of 2007, a Christy award finalist, and won a Christianity Today book award. The evidence is in for fitness. Regular exercise has been associated with more health benefits than anything else known to man. Studies show that it reduces the risk of some cancers, increases longevity, helps achieve and maintain weight loss, enhances mood, lowers blood pressure, and even improves arthritis. In short, exercise keeps you healthy and makes you look and feel better.

We will start an accountability thread on the "Getting Healthy" group for those of you  in need of some encouragement, support and accountability as you work towards a healthier life style, better eating habits and getting fit!
