Delight Yourself In The Lord

• May. 5, 2007 - You Haven't Had What!

During the night I was up scrubbing walls, ironing, baking bread,............. oh wait a minute that was the dream I was having. I'll start again during the night I was blogging at 3:30 am, I know shameful, shameful behaviour but let me explain I fell asleep in the lounge room woke and checked emails as one does, don't they, anyway there were 12 comments how could I possibly go to bed. I then had a look around at other blogs while having a cup of milo, for coffee at that hr would have kept me up. So I'm over at Jenn's blog leaving a comment mentioning milo and it seems you Americans don't have Milo, here I am to share it with you. I seriously think you missing out on something wonderful

Here we have a tin of Milo, this cost $8.00, I classify it as a luxury in this house. Now you can have it as a hot milo with hot water and milk, or just hot milk and you can have it with cold milk with milo on top. People seem to have a preferance for how they drink there cold milk milos, I like it with a spoon with a little bit of milk and the milo still crunchy on top, where others like theirs stirred in, or milo on the bottom, it's a complicated business this milo eating or drinking.

Now this is my all time favourite way of having milo and many a spoon full of milo I have snuck in my life time. There is a slight catch to milo it is quite fattening, though they try to tell us otherwise   I have also used a cup with kangaroos on it as a nice touch,.... or truthfully it is the only one I found without a chip in it.  It took many spoon fulls of milo here to get the right shot,  how I suffer for you people.

O.K. it looks very good. But am I the only one who thinks this looks very similar to our american chocolate drink mix? Like a nesquick or a hot chocolate? Maybe the pictures were just deceiving. Of course ours isn't crunchy. Maybe I should see if I can find a way to buy it on the web. I wonder how much shipping would be from Australia? :)

Thank you for making such a sacrifice for us!! It must have been difficult. Hee Hee...So how is this different than our Nestle choco powder? Is something added to it, I see it says energy drink.

Hello it's the owner of this blog's favourite person. We have nestle, hot cholcolate and nesquick and believe me this is different. You cannot eat spoon fulls of them but milo you can, where they are powder this is crunchy and has more of a chocolate flavour.

Thank you for explaining that. It just looked similar. On your chat box, I put that I had looked up milo on Wikipedia. You gave a very good description. I didn't get to much more information from wikipedia. Thank you for your descriptions for us Americans. :)

• May. 5, 2007 - We love MILO!!!

Tracy is right, there is nothing like this Malt drink. And yes, it is YUMMY! We can not buy it in this country but when MILO was readily available I would often sneak into the kitchen for a spoonful only to find that someone was there before me sneaking!!! When your very well presented picture displayed on the screen, there was a resounding "MILOOOO" from all my blog reading accomplices. Thanks for all your sacrifices in bringing us such delicious memories.

Tracy - This is for all your fans (I mean, friends!) who wish to purchase Milo. There is a store in (if you can believe it) Leavenworth, Washington, USA, that sells Milo!! The name of the store is The Australian Store. They don't have a web site but they are listed on the Leavenworth web site. I just got their phone #509-548-3088. They would probably ship it to anyone wanting to buy it! I sure wish we would have bought a can while we were visiting there a several weeks ago. I love my morning hot chocolate made with Nesquik but now I feel cheated! I want to try Milo! Thanks for the great promo shots - I like your sweet baby's profile!

Is it like hot chocolate? Does it contain vitamins? We have something called Ovalteen (sp?) that is like chocolate powder with vitamins in it. How do you pronounce Milo? Is it mee-lo or my-lo? Very interesting. Do your children drink it too?
Thanks!

The owner of the blog speaks again. We say my-lo and I have had that ovaltein and let me say, yuk, milo is not like that. I just read the tin and it says it has 6 essential vitamins in it, so hey maybe all those spoon fulls are good for me.
The owner of the blog shall now be silent.

Hebrews 4:12 & 13

• For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
