Delight Yourself In The Lord

• Jun. 16, 2007 - Definition Of Brave, Angry, and Desperate

The saga of the Dishwasher part 2.

The definition of Brave-

My children who took the stick for the dishwasher outside and now can't find it.

The definition of Angry-

Me!

The definition of Desperate-

Me again, I go and take a slat of wood off my daughter's bunk bed to get that Dishwasher going!

The good thing is there are alot of these holding my children's matresses up, so if they keep losing them I see a future of them sleeping on the floor. That dishwasher must keep going, what is my other option, don't say it I can't bare to hear it

I say if you have to use every piece of lumber in the house, go for it. And if you run out, you can make one of the kids sit in the place of the stick, with his head propped under the dishwasher door.

They should know not to get between a woman and her appliances.

I have to admit, I did dishes for the first time in a long time the other day, it wasn't to bad. Of course when I had to do them every day and night, I didn't like it to much. We now have the kids doing all the dishes, it's part of their chores. But they would much rather a dishwasher. :)

I don't see any other options either. Good thing you don't have to use the studs of your house is all I can think.

PS...forgive me for being late today. I will try not to let it happen again.

I have a feeling this is the wrong time to say that I was offered a dishwasher (free of charge) yesterday and turned it down. I wouldn't even begin to know how to use it or where to put it even though I have been told that a woman ALWAYS makes room for her appliances.... put I'm all for the notion of if you have a dependence, you must meet that need at all cost!!! ;-) Is that the good, bad and ugly? lol

The person who commented before me needs to come do your dishes for a month to relieve you of your dishwasher woes. My mother-in-law is the same way about dishwashers-she doesn't see the point of them. She's a very lovely lady, but I respectfully say she's nuts.

Lol- I don't know what I am missing not having a dishwahser, since I have been married over six years and have yet to purchase one! If I ever did get one, however, I know I would go to extremes to keep it running!

A woman will go to great lengths to keep a very useful household tool going! Even if it means sacrificing the childrens sleeping accomodations! Best wishes on the dishwasher, Tammy

How ever did you figure that out? I'm impressed. That definitely wasn't in the manual!
You've been a little busy lately, haven't you......

LOL that is too funny. This is my 2nd year with a dishwasher!! I am so blessed :) I've never had one before in any house or rental and my mother still doesn't have one. I've been married 17 years... hmm I just got a wedding ring our last anniversary too.. wow things ARE looking up lol. My kids would surely shrivel up if they had to do dishes by hand and would use duct tape if necessary.

Okay, give me a minute to contain myself. I'm ROFL at TC's comment. No need to say any more. I think she summed it up. Too funny. I can see your poor kids falling through their beds now. LOL. I must warn you.... I will be away on Monday b/c I will not have internet, so after posting this comment, I will leave you another for Monday. ;o)

Blessings,
Lori

Here is Monday's comment, as I will not have internet. Now, you do realize that you are required to post on Monday to make this comment official. And where is Sunday's post? That dishwasher really has you stressed, doesn't it? LOL

Blessings,
Lori

Thank you for the encouraging words in regards to my post today, and for reminding me that HE is Not Saved, and that it is the Flesh that too drives him to behave accordingly. True about doing things the LORDS way, and its very true that at many a times I forget that it is the Lord I am to be submissive in not submit to the world. Again thank you for the words of wisdom, you did help me see things in perspective

I love my dishwasher and I'm going to praise for it's service to us! My Stepmother uses her dishwasher for storage and does her dishes by hand! She is another fine woman but a little nuts!

That is too funny!
My dishwasher isn't being cooperative lately either. The little door where you put the soap will NOT stay closed and as soon as I lift the door to close it - soap goes flying everywhere! I also can't bear the thought of washing dishes by hand....I'll have to try "the stick method' of dishwasher repair! ( Would you recommend a popsicle stick?) ;-)

Blessings,
Michelle

Hebrews 4:12 & 13

• For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
