Delight Yourself In The Lord

• Aug. 15, 2007 - Am I Ready

Name: Tracy ** ******

Address: Somewhere in Australia

Age: 37

I have 6 children aged between 16 and 2. I homeschool these children and rarely take a day off these days. I have a clean house most the time but am consistently working at it. I have been a Christian for 13 yrs and after many inconsistent yrs I now have evened out. I pay my bills on time and if this is not possible will always phone to arrange payment. My moods are mostly cheerful and will no longer dwell on things for too long; I believe I have matured greatly in this area.

So here is my question-

Do you think I am grown up enough to borrow a library book?

So tell me do I fit the criteria of a grown up, mature woman who can handle this type of responsibility in my life.

Here is a photo from 3 yrs ago when I was not responsible enough, this was my last attempt at borrowing books. Please take into account I thought I was ready back then  but now alarms go off if I am with in 100 meters of this Library

Here I am now, I look honest no librarian would suspect under that smile lurks a failure, so the question is am I MATURE enough

Are you for real that was only 3 years ago??? You don't look any older than my 17 yr old daughter in that picture. Now about the library thing, I can't answer.....I get all my books from the big Lansing library that doesn't charge overdue fines. There are several others closer to me, but they have fines and I don't dare check those out. When I was YOUNGER(!) I was really good at remembering to get them back on time. Now that I'm NOT, I'm not. Go figure.....
Is this the library's opinion???
love the pictures.....

I think you should go for it, but then....I have a few fines at the moment and cannot locate one of the books that is late, so maybe you shouldn't take my word for it.

I am hardly the expert on this topic. I have a library book that should have been returned, wait, let me get the children to check.... my daughter is saying last August, but whew, that can't be right because I never even got membership until October. Yes, that's it, it was due back in November. What has maturity got to do with it? I will just throw a tantrum when I do finally return it and blame them for not calling and reminding me. Very simple really :-D I don't know what your excuse is but my library is 5 minutes walk away....

No. Obviously the problem is in your address. What respectable libraian would loan a book to a person from "somewhere in Australia". You are going to have to break down and tell her/him where you live.
How can they come after you with the sheriff for delinquent books... somewhere in Australia? I think not. Your beauty has nothing to do with it. Get a number.

I used to feel just humiliated if i was late to return a book......like i was a little worm. Now i've returned so many late that i figure my fines pay for them to get new books. Think of it as philanthropy. We really do try to get them back on time now. They now send e-mails 3 days before our books are due.....this really helps and i've not had a late one since they started that.

You'll never know unless you try. Just say, "I think I can, I think I can." LOL.

I'm just going to stab in the wind here, but have you misplaced a few library books? I mean, not that you hinted at that or anything. It is just a thought. Really.

My suggestion is to take it slow. Just borrow one book and return it on time. Then, borrow two... you get the idea. Maybe you will get into the habit? BTW, I wondered where all the imperfect people were on the Homeschool Blogger! I think I found them! Hallelujah! It's good to be among friends! :-)

Hebrews 4:12 & 13

• For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
