Delight Yourself In The Lord

• Aug. 23, 2007 - Part 2 On My School Day

To add onto my previous entry because I could never write my normal school day in fear you might fall asleep.

I will now show you part of my school day with my eldest son Jake, he is 16.

Now this is Jake's locker and everytime I walk past it I feel a cold chill down my spine. I feel fearful everytime I open this and he comes rushing to my side explaining he has a wonderful system happening and there is no need for me to interfere with it . The question is do I believe it, let's just say I really want to.

So there you have the spine chilling part of my day, believe me there are many parts.

My DH collects old filing drawers. It drives me nuts. He never needs what is inside. I thought we'd get rid of them when we moved, but alas, no. Your son is starting early. He'll end up with 20 before he has kids. (tee, hee)

Let me just say that your Jake's locker looks like he's a lot more organized than I am. LOL. I really try to put things in some sort of order. Then when I go to find something, I see that I am not very orderly at all. While searching for one thing, I will find something that I had been searching for. Maybe I just need to search for something I'm not looking for and I would find what I really wanted in the first place. Does that make sense to you at all? LOL.

Blessings,
Lori

Thinking of homeschool during teen years seems a bit daunting, it seems like you are doing fine. :)

It is filed, in a book and not on the floor , in a corner, on the table right before dinner, nor behind the couch! Yes it is working, even if he never opens it again! LOL!

is because he is more organised than I am..... ok, I have never pretended to be organised but his locker is RED, it draws attention to how organised he is, that is just showing off Tracy! And I have to use the word organised one more time :-)

Looks like he has it all figured out! I'm sure he does:) You know how it is when something looks rediculous to others, but we know EXACTLY where everything is. Right. Like my bedroom closet. Keep an eye on that one I say!

Hey, at least it's all in one place. My son's system involves something to do with lots of piles, dust, and cries of, "Wait a minute! I'm looking for it!"

Hebrews 4:12 & 13

• For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
