Delight Yourself In The Lord

• Sep. 17, 2007 - What I Found Out Today

It seems people don't think people with 4 or more children need to go on a holiday. It seems they are shocked and horrified that we would even consider leaving the house and for our trouble will charge us an incredible amount of money per week but we are going a step further and want it for 3 months.

It was slightly frustrating and disheartning as I crossed off each place to come to a realisation no one wants us  Not only that I had a vision, I knew where I wanted to be, it was perfect I was happy, the children were happy and of course my husband was working to pay for all this  You get the picture I tried to justify spending all that money to keep my vision but no, without much of a tantrum I adjusted.  I threw enough tantrums today I didn't need one for this.

So instead I praise the Lord that we have found a place an hour and a half out from where we wanted for a third of a price everyone else was asking , we have plenty of room for the children and now we'll even be able to feed them which is always a bonus

would you need a holiday? I heard that after the 3rd child, life becomes a breeze. You should insist that they pay YOU for the pleasure of your company. I personally am so happy to see you back and alive and kicking in blogland. Three months is a long time, you had better take your computer with and update your blog VERY regularly! (no pressure ;-) )

I have run into that problem as well. I tried to talk my husband into a camping trailer, so we could take our lodgings with us whereever we go. He sensibly talked me out of it.
Once I find a hotel chain that will accomodate, I become a very loyal customer!

We are in the midst of planning a little get-away ourselves... and I am running in to the same situation you mentioned. Just adding one more child to the mix has spiced a few things up. Expensive! Glad it has worked out for you. I'm sure it will for us, too.

Have a great day.

Lol, come to America!!!
I can let you use our place in the Georgia Mountains!!

The downside is it's only three bedrooms and in America. Wouldn't have a clue how much Airplane tickets are. Well, it's a thought. :)

3 MONTHS? Wow...I go away for just a week and get home sick. I can't imagine being away for 3 months. That will be quite an adventure. I pray you all have a wonderful and refreshing time away.

Blessings,
Lori

So, are you really going to be gone for 3 months?

I just can't wrap my brain around that.

Is the computer and schoolwork following you or is this a grand vacation?

BTW, i'm so glad to see you are still on the planet. I've been coming by to see if you have blogged for quite some time now.

Hebrews 4:12 & 13

• For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
