Delight Yourself In The Lord

• Jan. 17, 2008 - Are You Pregnant?

I was asked this today by two of my children, why you ask, am I looking slightly larger in my stomach area  NO! The reason this question was put to me was because I was eating a raw carrot and I only eat them like this when I am pregnant. Actually let me emphasise this, I eat raw carrots constantly!  I love them because they are crunchy and for some reason I love this while pregnant. I also love raw beans, smell crayons, diesel, tyres on a truck when it has just pulled up, add rain to that and the dust and I could quite honestly roll in it. I believe I could join the cows in the paddock, my mouth craves to gnaw and chew at fresh things and grass looks good.

So what are some of your cravings while pregnant?

I have terriable cravings for LEMON.... my poor hubby, he's such a good sport. We eat lemon everything when I am pregnant because that's what I cook! My kids all love the flavour of lemons, too.... I've heard that we crave what our bodies lack..... I craved more when I didn't drink enough water.

if it is ethical for you to ask us these kinds of things when you are not pregnant. William so needs a little sister, don't you think? I remember very long ago when I was pregnant, I craved things that burn - like tabasco sauce. I also craved scrambled eggs. In my first pregnancy I practically lived on scrambled eggs drowned in tabasco sauce. Pickles, calamata olives.... I think that is about it.

So are you pregnant or not? Inquiring minds want to know. :)
I usually can't stand the smell of coffee, my poor husband, can't make any in the house. I craved fish sticks for a while once, and then a breakfast meal from a certain restuarant that Paul had to go get me everyday. Many more, but not enough room to go into them here. I'm looking forward to hearing if you are or aren't. :)

Oh, I don't know if I told you, I think I did, but this is JoAnn from 2peter318, I have two blogs now. ;)

First kid - Ding Dongs (could eat a box by myself).
Second kid - Taco Bell (couldn't get enough of those beans)
Third Kid - M & M's, I went through a 2 pound bag a week with him and StarBucks Coffee.

Funny how they tell you that too much caffine will stunt the growth of the baby? Wrong. I drank three coffee's a day and the kid weighed over 11 pounds when he was born. So much for science right?

First- McDonald's chicken nuggets, Taco Bell's Mexican Pizza, and fruit- watermelon, grapes, strawberries, ect.

Second- Taco Bell's Mexican pizza and STEAK!

Third- Taco Bell's Mexican pizza and ice cream (very healthy diet...uhem...)

I always know I'm pregnant when I start craving Mexican pizza from Taco Bell- all the time! =P

Also, I love the smell of new tires, laundry detergent, the smell of the vacuum cleaner running (strange I know...), meat browning, new car smell, new carpet and gravel (I don't understand that one...). My sense of smell is very sensitive when I'm pregnant.

It seemed like all I craved was cheese nachos the last time and it wasn't just any cheese nachos, but they were only at a certain restaurant. Well this restaurant was not the cheapest place to go and we went at least weekly (sometimes more). We went so often and I was so predictable about what I wanted a couple times they brought it out without asking our order! Anyways, now we're too broke to go there, so I guess it's good that I'm not pregnant!

I always craved toothpaste. Isn't that weird? I would actually crave brushing my teeth. I would brush them 10 times a day. It must be the mint that I really craved.

All I can remember is that I couldn't get vegetables down. Strange.
I know what you mean about the truck smells. I grew up around them, and they kinda grow on you. Toxic stuff that it is...!

Hebrews 4:12 & 13

• For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
