Assistance for Flood Victims in Southwest Washington Still Needed

With so many challenges happening around us, it's easy to forget about folks
that are still recovering from an event in which they had no control yet still
struggle from the aftermath. I'm thinking about the folks still dealing with
 the floods in Southwest Washington.

One of our veterinarian's hails from this area. While he was working on our
animal, we were talking about this need. At my request, he provided a couple
of names of folks who are trying to meet this need. I have contacted each
and am posting this information here in case some may be looking for a
place to help out. So do with this information what you will and know that
this is not pressuring anyone to do anything, unless you want.

Remember too that I am just a messenger. I am writing what I've
researched about these two organizations and I encourage you to
check them out for yourself. I have no connection to these good folks

other than I've heard of their organizations.

How interesting that I happen to see your post on the HSB homepage tonight. We just got back from Portland yesterday and on the way home (on Hwy 30, Oregon side of Columbia River) I was, again, looking at all the damage that is still visible from that awful storm we had back in Dec. My thought was that now that I've seen all this damage at least a dozen times, I have gotten used to it. It's no longer shocking, though still sad. So many, many trees down everywhere. There was a bad mudslide west of Clatskanie and some homes were devastated. My point is, like you said, we get busy with our own lives and forget that there are still people recovering from the events that happened a few months ago. I hope others respond to your post and I will prayerfully consider donated to one of these organizations. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

God bless,
Kate
