Why Wear Skirts?

Question - Why do you wear skirts?

Tell me why in your comment please.

And if you don't why don't you?

Blessings,
Tulip

P.S. I wear skirts everyday and the reason I do is because I feel more feminine that way, and I feel it's the kind of clothing the Lord wants me to wear.  My skirts always come below my knees, also.

Surprise, I have been inspired

Dear readers,

I have been inspired to write a book!  I hope to get it published soon.  My mother has edited it so maybe it won't be long!  I have also written the second in the series that mom has to edit so maybe that will be out soon also.

A little about the book

This book is based in a small town on Prince Edward Island, Canada during 1900's.  Why would you base a story in Canada, you may ask?  Well as you can see from the title of this entry I was inspired.  My inspiration came from Lucy Maud Montgomery's books.  If you are not familiar with her name you might remember the book called "Anna of Green Gables" and many others in the Anne series?  Well I loved the way she wrote them and where they were based so as I said, I was INSPIRED!  Well this book is based on the island of P.E.I.  where most of the Montgomery books were based.  It all begins though in Ireland with a young girl who has a lost twin brother and mother.  Her father lives in a lighthouse on P.E.I. and has requested her to come and live with him,  the father did not abondend the girl but sent her to live with a family friend who took care of him when his mother died.  She is 16 and travels to P.E.I. with the protection of a sailor who is a friend of her father's and her's.  I hope to get this out to all of you very soon and if I can not publish it as an ebook I will post a chapter every few weeks for you to read.

I hope that these books further your faith in the Lord.  I also hope that they will be a blessing to you.

Blessings,
Tulip

Hey don't be shy! Meet new Girls!

This is a post about my lovely friend Jocelyn who is such a tremendous friend!  It is about the things she has on her blog.  Hope you enjoy it and if you haven't already been to her blog or if you don't know her I'm sure she would be glad to meet you.  She is a lovely young woman who is commited to the Lord and whatever He might call her to do.  Enjoy this short post about her and a few of the things I like on her blog.

#1

She has an amazing thing on her blog about decoding the Proverbs 31 Woman.

This is a wonderful guide to young girls that have always wondered about this passage and what it means you can stop by and read about its the step by step guide to these wonderful verses.
You can also get blog buttons like these.

You will find these and more here  http://apounderingheart.com/blog/?p=862     Hope you can find these things and others.

#2

This is another thing that I love so much.  It's is a simple, yet not rude, and it tells others that I may not post things that they agree with but that doesn't mean that I should stop posting about it.  I believe that this is a good thing for all to do because even though we may all believe in some of the same things we might not dig as deep as others.

#3

There is so much more about this blog and one of the newest things I have seen on it is this " Modesty checklist ".
modesty checklist

This is a wonderful guide to modest choices and to help you know when it is time to throw out things.  I really think that it is good to be modest and I will tell about that in one of my later posts.

I hope that these few things will help you to understand her better, and also to find great other things on her blog. Please be sure to browse her blog for more great things!

More about Twilight

( *edit * )     This post will stay at the top till the end of this month April 30th, 2009.  Look below this post for the latest news about me.  Thank you so much.

Hy girls I hope that you are ready for some more updates on these books cause your about to hear some.

Well to get to the point My family was listening to AFR in the car and we heard some disturbing news.  The Twilight books and the movie have become popular in the teen world.  Many people called in and was talking about why they chose not to let there teens read or watch these things.  One of these times a man called in and said that he had two girls and that he went to see the movie just to see what it was about and he said that he saw something that was of the devil you could say.  He told the people about a scene that the ( quote ) vampire  was in went out into the sun. Now he said that he had seen these kind of movies before and he said that when a vampire came out into the sun that he would catch on fire, but instead of this the vampire opened his shirt and there were jewels all over him and he said that this was who he really was.  Now the man said that in the bible there was something in there that the devil does the same thing. Now if that is not enough to make you sick then listen to this, one of the people hosting the talk show had went to the movie to see if it was something bad or good.  Now there was a scene that made also made him uneasy.  There was a scene that was the vampire house, he said that the house was like nothing you had ever seen before,  and on one of the entrance hall walls there was a cross.  Now he said that  it symbolized that they had conquered the cross ( or God )!   Now these are really popular among girls but boys also like it,  they also told on the talk show that the girl and ( quote ) vampire  that were in love was not based on the love that Christ wanted but appearances and looks.  So I hope that known of these books or movies may come into your home, mind, or soul.

I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to write on this blog. I can't stand to think of all of you starving for attention and for a new post.  LOL!!!   I can't stand to think of any one not being able to see what I am thinking about or what is happening about me and my life.  So here is a short post about some things that I have been doing.

I went to my Grandparents house at Christmas time and oh the things I got for Christmas.  But I don't need to boast because that is sin.  After we got home we started back on school and boy was it difficult.  we have been to the library and I got a book that I have been wanting to check out for a long time.  I don't think that there is any thing else that I can write anymore.  So sorry that I can't write anymore.

Christmas

Christmas is a time for families to get together, and share presents together.  Christmas is about the time you get to spend with the family and give the gift of giving.  But Christmas is much more than that because our Father gave us the greatest gift ever!  The gift of our savior Jesus Christ.  And here is how the story came about.........

Luke 1 1:38

Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.  Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

In the time of Herod King of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron.  Both of them were upright in the sight of God, observing all the Lord's commandments and regulations blamelessly.  But they had no children, because Elizabeth was barren; and they were both well along in years.

Once when Zechariah's division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God, he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to go into the temple of the Lord and burn incense.  And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside.

Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense.  When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear.  But the angel said to him:  "Do not be afraid, Zechariah;  your prayer has been heard.  Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John.  He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord.  He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from birth.  Many of the people of Israel, will he bring back to the Lord their God.  And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous - to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."

Zechariah asked the angel, "How can I be sure of this?  I am an old man and my wife is well along in years."

The angel answered, "I am Gabriel.  I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news.  And now you will be silent and not be able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their proper time."  Meanwhile, the people were waiting for Zechariah and wondering why he stayed so long in the temple.  When he came out, he could not speak to them.  They realized he had seen a vision in the temple, for he kept making signs to them but remained unable to speak.

When his time of service was completed, he returned home.  After this his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and for five months remained in seclusion.  "The Lord has done this for me," she said.  "In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people."

In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David.  The virgin's name was Mary.  The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored!  The Lord is with you."

Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.  But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.  You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.  He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.  The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, his kingdom will never end."

"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"

The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.  So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.  Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month.  For nothing is impossible with God."

"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered.  "May it be to me as you have said."  Then the angel left her.

Hope you enjoyed part of the story of Jesus I will be posting the next part of this story and on up to the wise men visitting the little babe over the next few weeks.  Or until Christmas Day if it takes that long.  May the Lord bless all of you this Christmas and have a Merry Christmas!

Blessings,
Tulip

Twilight?!?

Code red!!!!

warning content of this message might horrify you but you must read it.

One day ( or shall I say one night ) I was sitting in the Awana classroom when something struck me with a blow!  It was shocking and I couldn't believe it. The teachers and kids were talking about a book series that didn't sound all that great.  At first I didn't know what is was about but then one of my buddies told me about it and this is what she said,  The twilight series is about this girl and she is in love with this guy..... Stop  alright right then I knew my mom wouldn't approve.  She went on to say, the girls friend had a guy that liked her....  Stop  Alright more love my mom would never think about letting me see it or read it.  Any ways she went on to say that one of these guys was a vampire and one was a wear wolf ( the only thing I was thinking was stupid! ) .  Again we come to a spot were this is turning into a mad house.  AND MY TEACHERS WERE TALKING ABOUT IT!  I have put this post on my blog because I wanted to tell you PLEASE Don't go see this!

I'm not complaining but I don't think that the teachers should encourage such a thing.

I'm here to ask you which side are you on?  The book or the people who don't think it is true?  Please tell me as soon as you come to a conclusion.

This post will stay at the top till I get 30 comments against the book.  Or just until Dec. 8th.

Please pray for me as I don't know what to really do about this.

Blessings,

simple things can make a big difference

Have you ever thought about the simple things in life being the most helpful things in life?  Well think about the trees outside your window or in your own yard, those trees supply the oxygen you breathe.  What about that bird that you wish would go away because it always sings?  Well it may help eat those annoying pest that you call bugs.

God also designed us for a good reason too.  Can you guess what it is?    Well  God originally  designed us to glorify Him but after Adam and eve sinned we began to be born into a sinned filled world unable to do what God designed us to do.  But then by God's amazing grace he made a way to be close to Him once again.  He sent His son to die for you and I and to take away our sins.  On the third day he rose from the grave and later descended into heaven.  And all you have to do is to ask God to forgive you of your sins and to have Him as the leader of you life.

God has done amazing things in my life and all I want to do is to glorify Him in all I do.  But sometimes that is hard especially when your younger sibling is annoying you, and then what happens?  You get angry or mad and have an outburst of emotion yelling or crying.  You may say things that hurt the other person and after a while you feel bad about it.  Well good news there is someone you can turn to and He will forgive you for what you have done wrong.  His name is Jesus and He is your best friend.  He is the only one that you can turn to and will forgive you without a question or a doubt.  He will cast your sins as far as far as the east is from the west.

The Lord is your best friend and the simplest thing of you asking for forgiveness will make a big difference in your life!

Simple things can make a Big difference!

Blessings,
Tulip

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok so that up there is something that you need to go comment on.  But I just wanted to tell you that my day has been great and that I really would enjoy more of those sweet comments of yours.  Also  I am going to change my template over the next few weeks so please feel free to give tips on decorating it or tell me if you like it.
Here is another letter from the past.  This one is off the top of my head and may be longer.
Dearest daughter,
                I have not heard from you in a while.  Is something going on that you don't want me to know about?  Are you sick and dieing?  Or is it just that you are too busy studying to write?  please tell me when you get the time how school has been going and how you like it.  If you need anything just write us and we will do our best to give it to you.  We all love you and wish you were here with us in England.  This war that is going on scares me and your father both.  we just pray that you are alright.  Don't forget to think about us as the passing days go by.  We love you so much so if there is anything you want to talk about to us please write.
Things have been going well here in England and your brother has graduated the little masters school.  We have been to visit our old friends and have met some new ones.  One by the name of mister Rupert who told us that the name of our great country is "The unknown land" to them.  That is because he has never ever heard of it's great places before.  He told us that his parents hate America and wish all of us that live in it would die in this war. I tried to compose myself before I would say anything but he saw that I was mad and told us that he on the other hand did not think like that.  That was a relief to me.   I hope that you will come soon and have a nice summer or two staying here in England.  I know you would hate to neglected your studies but we would so like to here from you.
your loving Parents.
Sad to say the daughter was not in school but on the battle field, days later a letter came in the mail.  It's edges had a beautiful boarder on it, but the parents were not so happy because the boarder was black.  The black that meant death of someone they knew and loved.  They thought it was her mothers sister who had been working in a field hospital, but they soon realized that it was there own dear daughter.  She had gone to war in secret working in afield hospital, but when she went to the battle ground to get the sick and wounded from that fight that was raging on she stepped right into the path of an enemy bullet.  She fell to the ground in pain, she tried to get up but could not. Just then an soldier in a blue uniform came and got her out of the way.  He brought her back to their little hospital and instantly saw that she was fading away little by little.  He fell in love with her but she soon died the next hour.  He
was helping to try and make her and some of the others fell comfortable but then she passed on. He did not like this war and now he had lost someone whom he was trying to help.
After the parents read her letter of death they cried and mourned for the rest of there lives.   The mother of this poor girl died from a broken heart the following year.  Her father remarried but soon him and his wife died from the bitter cold winter that was upon such a frail couple.  He died first and then the following month she died in the preachers sitting room.
This story also has a lesson to learn, never ever do anything with out your parents permission.
This story started out not sure about where it was headed.  But I am happy with what I wrote and hope it is an encouragement for you.Thanks so much for reading it.  I would enjoy knowing what you think!
Blessings,
Tulip
Letters from the past.
Hello I'm back!  And I have a new thing to do on my blog.  You see I was just thinking on an ordinary day (well today to be exact. ) and I thought about how people must have felt reading those long and short letters during the time that they did not have a telephone or a telegraph system .  So I started to write a fictional letter acting like I was a person in the time of the civil war.  In this letter I am portraying a young girl who went to help with the wounded soldiers who are at the field hospital.  So here is the first letter in the series that will be known as " Letters from the Past" .   I will put my latest letter on my blog soon.
Dear Mother,
      I now take paper and pen to tell you that we are constantly  up in the morning and in the night.  I fell tired and depressed because many a men die in our little field hospital.  I really want to come home but the men who are dieing here need doctors and nurses to try to save them.  I must return to my work now, I barely have time to write you.  Tell everyone I love and miss them terrible much.  Hopefully I will be home soon.
                                                                                                          Love,
                                                                                                            Madeline
Well there is the first one, feel free to comment about anything you fell about it.  BUT DON'T SAY ANYTHING THAT IS UNPLEASING TO GOD, OR NOT PROPER TO SAY BECAUSE IF YOU DO THEN I WILL DELETE YOUR COMMENT.
Hello peeps
Hi guys or shall I say gal's,  not much has been happening this week.  It's just that I've been off from school because my daddy was off!  Yay for me!  okey so nothing has been happening much except that I have been practically pilled up with chores to do and need to around the house. I needed some time alone so I went to my room and read for just a little while.  Then my dad  got kinda mad about it and made me do even more chores.  I wonder if it was because I was reading while everyone was working. Oh well just dropped by to see how everything is going.
Bye,
Tulip
