Yes my dear friends Fairy Book Worm is going away from our happy little circle of  people blogs.   I have no idea why but I do know that I am going to give her a goodbye post to tell her how much we will miss her beloved posts.

Ok so that up there is something that you need to go comment on.  But I just wanted to tell you that my day has been great and that I really would enjoy more of those sweet comments of yours.  Also  I am going to change my template over the next few weeks so please feel free to give tips on decorating it or tell me if you like it.

Here is another letter from the past.  This one is off the top of my head and may be longer.


Dearest daughter,

                I have not heard from you in a while.  Is something going on that you don't want me to know about?  Are you sick and dieing?  Or is it just that you are too busy studying to write?  please tell me when you get the time how school has been going and how you like it.  If you need anything just write us and we will do our best to give it to you.  We all love you and wish you were here with us in England.  This war that is going on scares me and your father both.  we just pray that you are alright.  Don't forget to think about us as the passing days go by.  We love you so much so if there is anything you want to talk about to us please write. 

Things have been going well here in England and your brother has graduated the little masters school.  We have been to visit our old friends and have met some new ones.  One by the name of mister Rupert who told us that the name of our great country is "The unknown land" to them.  That is because he has never ever heard of it's great places before.  He told us that his parents hate America and wish all of us that live in it would die in this war. I tried to compose myself before I would say anything but he saw that I was mad and told us that he on the other hand did not think like that.  That was a relief to me.   I hope that you will come soon and have a nice summer or two staying here in England.  I know you would hate to neglected your studies but we would so like to here from you.

Sad to say the daughter was not in school but on the battle field, days later a letter came in the mail.  It's edges had a beautiful boarder on it, but the parents were not so happy because the boarder was black.  The black that meant death of someone they knew and loved.  They thought it was her mothers sister who had been working in a field hospital, but they soon realized that it was there own dear daughter.  She had gone to war in secret working in afield hospital, but when she went to the battle ground to get the sick and wounded from that fight that was raging on she stepped right into the path of an enemy bullet.  She fell to the ground in pain, she tried to get up but could not. Just then an soldier in a blue uniform came and got her out of the way.  He brought her back to their little hospital and instantly saw that she was fading away little by little.  He fell in love with her but she soon died the next hour.  He was helping to try and make her and some of the others fell comfortable but then she passed on. He did not like this war and now he had lost someone whom he was trying to help. 

After the parents read her letter of death they cried and mourned for the rest of there lives.   The mother of this poor girl died from a broken heart the following year.  Her father remarried but soon him and his wife died from the bitter cold winter that was upon such a frail couple.  He died first and then the following month she died in the preachers sitting room.
 
This story also has a lesson to learn, never ever do anything with out your parents permission.

This story started out not sure about where it was headed.  But I am happy with what I wrote and hope it is an encouragement for you.Thanks so much for reading it.  I would enjoy knowing what you think!

Letters from the past.

Hello I'm back!  And I have a new thing to do on my blog.  You see I was just thinking on an ordinary day (well today to be exact. ) and I thought about how people must have felt reading those long and short letters during the time that they did not have a telephone or a telegraph system .  So I started to write a fictional letter acting like I was a person in the time of the civil war.  In this letter I am portraying a young girl who went to help with the wounded soldiers who are at the field hospital.  So here is the first letter in the series that will be known as " Letters from the Past" .   I will put my latest letter on my blog soon.




Dear Mother,

      I now take paper and pen to tell you that we are constantly  up in the morning and in the night.  I fell tired and depressed because many a men die in our little field hospital.  I really want to come home but the men who are dieing here need doctors and nurses to try to save them.  I must return to my work now, I barely have time to write you.  Tell everyone I love and miss them terrible much.  Hopefully I will be home soon.

Hello peeps

Hi guys or shall I say gal's,  not much has been happening this week.  It's just that I've been off from school because my daddy was off!  Yay for me!  okey so nothing has been happening much except that I have been practically pilled up with chores to do and need to around the house. I needed some time alone so I went to my room and read for just a little while.  Then my dad  got kinda mad about it and made me do even more chores.  I wonder if it was because I was reading while everyone was working. Oh well just dropped by to see how everything is going.

I don't have much to say but I will say this.  the contest wasn't  a huge success so I have canceled it and it will no longer be in progress.  the reason for this is because not enough people entered it and so I can't go on and do it. thanks to those who may have had an interest in it.  I wish more would have entered it, but I guess it wasn't popular.   Please come visit me a lot more since I won't be getting on that much.  Thanks for being patient about recent posts on my blog.

prayer request

I just wanted to ask you to pray for Steven Curtis Chapman and his family.  They have ( or had ) a daughter that was adopted.  Well one day she was playing in the driveway when all of the sudden Her brother ( not really by blood ) was backing out of the driveway and that is enough info.  She later died at the hospital, but could you imagine what her brother must have felt like?  So please pray for His family.

Steven Curtis Chapman is a Christian song writing artists, and I think one of his most famous one was " If I could Dance With Cinderella".  They had three adopted daughters until the accident, and they have three other children ( by blood I guess you'd call it). 



My mom and I watched a funny little video about him and his little girl ( maria) washing the dishes after they had come home from a vacation.  Maria was just the prettiest little girl and she had the prettiest smile.  It was a little funny video that I think you may be able to watch on the yutube .

Growing in Grace

End of the year

Well our school year is almost over and guess what my mom decided to do to us kids.  Well????????????

Well we are going to think about schooling all year around!

We are thinking about doing six weeks of school and then taking off two weeks for a brake.  Now I know what you are thinking; you must be nuts.  No I'm not, i am always bored in the summer and now I have something to keep me occupied!  But we may not be doing this so don't get your hopes up or discouraged.

Sorry everyone but my blog is completely gone bad  and I have to fix it.  The only problem is that I don't have high speed and the only way I can do it is if we go to the library.  I also want to tell you all that i don't think we will be going to the library very soon so that may be a problem.  please hang on tight for a little while my blog will be fixed in no time at all.

Dresses these days

Did you know that in the 1800's it was the year of a great war in the USA?

 Most of you know this but just think about the lady's and their dresses.  Gosh!
you might say that was a lot to wear and it could get very hot in the south. 

I don't think I would like the corsets or the hot layers.  especially down in the south. 

I think that they probable wished that they had never thought of this idea. 

Well I do think I wouldn't mind the length of these dresses, too bad today they don't make long enough skirts or dresses to cover over your knees. 

Back then if you wore a short skirt the people would go crazy and not want you near them. 

The problem these days is people think that skimpy as my mom calls it is okay.  Well we as Christians should think other wise.


We should stand up for other good quality good coverage ( as in length) cloths. 

I mean you can walk in the mall and there is a girls shirt that is cut down like a grown ups shirt. 

I think that this world could use a clothing make over.

a million things to say

Hi everyone,


I took a challenge and that is why I was off for so long.  The challenge was from alifeoffaith's blog and it was too stay away from electronics for a week.  Sadly to say I did not accomplish it.  I am sick from allergies and I can't sleep almost every night.  I have to watch a gardening channel to fall asleep   and I have to sleep in our living room.  I also could not complete this challenge because my sweet father got us a game system.  I won't tell you what it is but it does keep you active.


Although I did not complete the elctronics challenge I had an idea of a new challenge that may be harder.  Breaking that little habit of not reading your bible everyday.  You see a habit takes 21 days to make it and 7 days to break it.  My challenge is to get up in the morning, go to a quiet place ( if possible) , Take your bible and meditate on a few verses or even a passage or two.  I f you don't know what the word meditate means and you are wondering what it means then I have a special thing below for you to look at.  anyone of course can look at it too.  I will also put this on my side bar.  If you are little, an older child, or even a teen it is never too late to start to break  this habit.  If  you want to make this a habit then just try it for seven days.  after that you keep going, don't forget to tell how it went at the end of the week.


Meditate - to take something and study on it thoroughly
Bible  - God's Holy word
Holy - perfect or pure

this may not seem so special but it is too me.

Look at me I've been off so long that I can't even type right.  Sorry I didn't do my show and tell this past Friday I should have told you about that.  Anyway I couldn't, my grandparents came over and boy were we busy.  Well I just thought to tell everyone about my story contest winner.   AND THE WINNER IS.........................

What?

Have you ever wondered what your friends faces look like when they read your comments or what they are thinking about what they are going to say in there reply?  Maybe they were going to say something in there that might not be so nice, or maybe they just don't want to say anything back at all?  Well here is something that you can use to be sure your mind is in check when you post a comment.


Will I hurt them with this comment, in what I say?

Is this fully what I wan to say without being mean?

Is this comment pleasing to God?

Will they like it?

Am I doing the right thing by saying this?


sometimes it might be hard to say things and not hurt someones feelings.  You must remember that you need to exsprease your feelings about what they posted.  Even if it looks okay, God may not like what they posted.

A little late for show and tell

Sorry I'm late about the show and tell thing.  I know, I know, I haven't been doing them latelty but this time I'm going to try and do it every Friday.  So here is last weeks:

This may sound a little story like but that's the way I want it to be.

My Grand Adventure

I was at my friends house playing with the boys and my sister.  ( The boys are our friends, no not boyfriends )  Anyway there I was hiding in the woods with the younger one ( he's 9 ) we were playing a little game of hide and go seek.  My sister had finished counting and we made a dash for base.  she didn't get us.  We yelled 123 base on me, so that we could go find my brother and his friend ( he's 14 ).  We came to a dead end they had gone through the woods deeper and deeper.  We started back for home when I say them coming out of the woods.  I made a dash almost stopping them but they got there first.  They told me that I didn't get them but that I was pretty fast.  I thought it was fun.  Later that day after pizza a star wars video games, we threw their football back and forth.  We also played kick ball I was the score keeper ( because I was out of breath ) I didn't mind.  there dog came and sat by me, one of them got in my lap ( she was little).  Well we rode fourwheelers and tromped through the woods some more.  I had fun though.  We also jumped on their trampolin almost all day.  We are planning to go back soon but I can't wait!

sharing your faith may be tough

Hi everyone I just wanted to tell you that i think we are all nuts.( your probable thinking okay she finally cracked right?)  Well I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings but if we weren't nuts wouldn't we not do what is wrong like drugs ( not that we do them) or smoke ( not that we do that) or not obey God all the time ( finally something we don't do).  Well as Christians we ought to make it a life long thing to try our hardest to keep away from the worlds ways that are not right for a Christian.  Take for example ( I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings here)  the new show " high school Musical "  in that movie don't they do things that just aren't right for a teen ( I think they kiss not the best idea)?  I mean it may be funny and cute ( as some would call it) but do you think that if you watch that or the other one that you are pleasing the Lord by setting your heart on those things?  I know someone who loves " Hanna Montana "  in our news paper one day it said that she had been traveling and she said her favorite verse from the Bible on a show.   Well that doesn't mean she is a Christian or that she loves the Lord.  If you watch that show you know what I mean.  The way she acts and just the way her life is pictured in that show.  Do you really think that is the right way to acked or the right thing to watch?  Sure some of these things are cute but I mean why watch them if you know that it is not pleasing to the Lord?  I'm not trying to tell you that you can't watch them but I just want to let you know that sometimes you may not know it but if you wear or read or watch something that God doesn't like then others may see you and think oh well they are doing it so I mean it doesn't hurt me to do bad things like that.  You may not know this but you are probable being watched on a daily bases.

Here's my story about something that has happend to me

Well one day at church some of my friends asked me if I have ever seen HSM  Well I said that I don't watch that and boy did they think I was nuts.  this is what they said:  "You don't watch High School Musical"?  I answered no and I don't want to at all.  Well they didn't think I was nuts.  But at  one of my friedns party some of her friends that don't go to church but go to her school asked me if I watched it.  I said no I don't watch it and I don't think they like me anymore.  I don't care I didn't really like them at all,but it is hard to think that just because someone doesn't watch what they watch they don't like that person.  I have to struggle with all the questions about what I watch or how I acked or even what I look like.  It's just my normal life to do that.  I may not follow what the world wants but I do try to follow God's ways.  it may be hard to do that but you need to try and work on that everyday.  One girl here on HSB told me that it is good to share my faith with all of you but that when I get to be a teen that it may get harder.  I think that for some it may be true but for me I think I might still share my faith as openly as I do now.  I still think that her advice might be good and I will try to keep it with me all my life.  If you wan to share your faith more openly tell me or pray this simple prayer everyday.


God, I may not be everything that you want me too be, and I may not share or live out my faith like you want me to.  So I ask you to please help my heart to seek you more and help me to show my faith to others around me.  On my blog help me to show my faith more then other things and help me to want you more then anything in this world.  I know you will help me in this way so thank you very much.

It's that simple and if you don't want to use that l prayer then you can do one made by you.  God is waiting for you to come to Him with a heart that wants Him more then anything.

I can't stay away for the longest time

My goodness I tried to take a brake but it is so hard with all your friends around hanging in mid air and wondering about me.  Well I just can to tell you all that i may get another blog ( finally ) and it may be about     "Nancy Drew "  and her mystery solving skills.  I will be Nancy and tell you about my life as a mystery solver and crime fighter.  If any of you know or have got any friends ( or even you) who have read some stories on this courageous girl just tell me and I will post some about what you may think on a book, or a quiz you want to have, or maybe even a challenge.  This is not official and there are some things that Nancy does that we don't need to do, but Nancy Is a fun way to learn about mysteries and help you understand well.................I don't know but who cares  Nancy is a regular gal I guess you could say.  she just likes mysteries and can solve them pretty good.  There are some other books on Nancy Drew that may tell different things on the books like "clues to Life" I think is what it is called.  Get your mom to help you look up some things on this like at your local library they may have some books.  I know ours does it is full of Nancy and her mysteries.  some of they newer books that have cartoon looking Nancy's are not that great you don't really feel like it is real life.  The Nancy Drew Sleuth Book: clues to good sleuthing is not that great I looked at it and Nancy goes to some sort of forteen teller it even tells you how to tell the forteen I think that one is trash.  God doesn't want us to go to some forteen telling thing.  Well as I was saying this is not a go right ahead thing we still have to talk it over.  Mother also said that I ought to read all the Nancy drew books first so I have to do that too.  If you want to participate in this then read all the books you can .  Just remember that some things might not please the Lord and I may not do this.  Thanks bye.

I believe that if this world restored the meaning and the action of courtship then it would be half way or a fourth way decent.  But I don't see that happening all in one night.  So that is why we as Christians ought to ough it to ourselves to try and restor courtship in the church.  A lot of my friends are talking about how they have a boyfriend or how they think a boy looks cute or something like that.  I try to stay out of it because I don't want to hurt their feelings and too I don't get to talk to them a lot, because they always seem to ignore me.  I'd rather be on here with my friends who don't talk to me that much then to try to be like them.  I don't think they understand what could happen if they go on a date with a guy.  Here are some good reasons not to go on a date with a guy.

1. Do you know what he is like fully?  If not then ooppss you could get caught in a bad trap of his.  Stuff you do when you are getting married and married only.

2.  Do you know 100% that he loves the Lord and has Jesus in his heart?  If not will he then try to get you into drugs or something else you know you're not supposed to be on.

3.  Do you know that he doesn't use bad launguege?  If he cusses ir says bad things you are stuck right there in the middle of it.

4.  Will he try to keep you after dark?  If you think this one is something that has nothign to worry about then you are wrong.  If the man has seen movies or even heard about keeping a gril after dark then he is probable going to do it for fun.  By now you know you're in trouble.

5.  What if you don't think he is the right guy and you try to go home but he doesn't want you to?  If this is what he does, then you know that this was not a fun time together and you think right away courtship.


GGM  has a great place to go to see more about courtship.  I know what you are thinking why a girl so young think these things.  Well my mom talked to me about not going  on a date since I was little, of course  I wanted to go out on dates but now I don't want to at all.  These are just a few things that I think about every day but I still don't agree to dating with a guy.

P.S. For guys who may be reading this girls who don't know our loving Lord may do this too.


fearless feminine challenge day 7

Fearless Feminine Challenge is over for me.  I still think about wearing skirts more often but I don't see that happening in the winter.  Well to church on Sunday I wore a black skirt and red top.  I had to change for the day outfit so I went with my blue jean skirt, and pink top. ( I think )  Well I can't really tell much else cause that extra challenge didn't work out that well.  I also was wondering if someone could tell me a good store that sells long skirts a lot?  I'm open for anything!  If you don't want to give away personal or local places that is fine with me.
