Hey Everyone,

This is Makayla(SmileyGirl95 )! I am REALLY sorry that we haven't updated in forever. I am happy to say that Sierra and I will be posting on here again! We feel really bad that we haven't posted on here!

 

I will give you an update on what I have been up to lately! 

Today Is my dad's B-day!!!!!!! So we are having a small party for him at our house! The weather is so beautiful here today, so we are having a barbecue!!!

Next week I am going camping! My friend Sophia and her family are coming camping with us as well! We are going to bring our horses and it should be a great vacation!!!

I would also like to remind all of you that we need to pray for the people in Iowa. The flooding that has been going on the is horrible and has left many people without homes. It is awful and we need to pray that everything will work out and that people without a home will be able to get a new home and that the people who have lost love ones will get comfort in there time of sorrow.

I feel really bad going this long with out writing an entry but it has been getting fairly busy around here, but anyways let me catch up on last week end and this week……..

Friday

The whole entire morning I was doing school, mostly Math. For several days (before Friday) I was telling my mom that my math was the math I would have done last year (My math is Saxon math by the way) but my mom didn’t think so, but thanks to my sisters they said I was doing so good on math that they said maybe I should move up to the next math book but if I did move up a math book I might be doing math in the summer but I didn’t really care  for I didn’t want to be behind in math too so I just said yes for the math I was doing was really easy. So I did a Math lesson that day.

 

Friday evening.

I helped my mom and sisters with dinner. And after we ate I helped with cleaning, then my brother Jacobs best friend came for he is staying a week at our house cause his Mom and Dad went to Hawaii.

Saturday

Well…I guess we were enjoying our Saturday but we did walk to a store that was a mile away from my house and us all bought Energy drinks!Yeah! Sobe drinks and energy drinks are two of my favorite drinks but anyways after the walk we played did a little work then we ate dinner then we several hours later we watched a TV show and didn’t get to bed till 4:00 in the morning.

Sunday

Me and the rest of my family Jacob’s friend Andy went to church and stayed for Sunday school which was really fun! And then I went to my best friend Makayla’s house for the day and when I got home I got ready to go to Bible study.

And so Monday and Tuesday was just basically school and then to day my brothers had a nether friend over had they played.

Happy New Year!!!! I can't believe it is already 2008, 2007 went by sooooooooooooo fast.

It has been cold and wet here lately. We got a little snow yesterday and a LOT of freezing rain. Today it snowed for about 15 minutes in the afternoon, and then rained until this evening. I am beginning to get tired of the rain.

A couple days after the other baby calf was born, one of our other cows had a calf as well. It is a boy and we haven't decided on a name yet, any idea's??? Oh we found out the first calf was a girl and not a boy, so we decided on the name freckles. Cows are soooooooooo cute when they are babies!

Today I did school, school has been going very well! I don't know if I told you but I am homeschooled. I am learning about a bunch of different things. My favorite subjects in school are Math and World Studies (which is history). What is your favorite subjects is school?

Well today I woke up and looked out side and I was suprised to see snow!!!! well maybe a little bit suprised because it has been snowing on and off past December.

Well everybody it maybe a little late but.........

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow its already 2008!!

Tomorrow I will have to start school again =l which I dont really mind but I sure did enjoy my vacation from daily routines.

This morning my mom and my brother Matthew went to go feed the cows and horses and they noticed one of the cows was missing. They looked around for her and they finally found her and................................... they noticed that she gave birth to a baby calf. It is a boy and he has spots on is face and a black circle around his eyes. He is soooooooooooooooooo cute and tiny. We named him spot, because he has so many spots on his body and his face!

How was everyones Christmas???I had a GREAT Christmas, it was sooooooooooooooooooo fun! My grandma came and some of my friends and their parents came for dinner! For Christmas I got a jar of pickles from my brother ( I LOVE pickles), he also gave me a fake eyeball............yep thats right a fake EYEBALL, it gets even better........... it is a fake BLUE eyeball, and when you bounce it, it changes colors LOL!!!! My mom got me the first and second season of Murder she Wrote ( I love mystery movies). My mom and dad got our family a Wii, it is really fun to play. They got several games.........  Dance, Dance, Dance Revolution, Spy games, Big Game Hunter ( for the boys), Mario, and Luns cross bow practice ( for the boys as well, even though I beat all their scores).

Well Today is Christmas day and I am going to Wish you all a joyful, peaceful Merry Christmas.

Today Me and my family is going to see "National  treasure, The book of secrets" at least I think thats what it's called .

I hope everyone has a GREAT Christmas!

This evening my family and I are going to a Christmas Eve gift exchange! I can't wait, last year was very fun! I won $20.00 and a beer, I liked the $20.00, but I gave the beer to my dad, and when he finally decided to open it, he noticed that it expired in 2005, LOL! So that beer ended up in the garbage can.

My mom and I have been very busy baking today. My mom has made two pecan pies and I have made one apple pie so far, and I am going to make another one soon!

I have a question for everyone................ What was your favorite Christmas memory????? I would love to hear it!

Well to day I helped my sister Emily babysat Jack and Ryan (Two baby twins Emily takes care of everyday). They are sooooooo cute and funny. Ryan smiles and laughs a lot. Jack is more serious. He doesn’t smile and laugh as much as Ryan does.

Well two more days till the ginger bread house party!!!! It looks like 16-18 kids are going to be there including Jacob, me, and Isaac.

Hello Everyone,

Ok, I thought I would tell everyone the answer to the tallest Christmas tree in the world............. Ok the tallest Christmas tree in the world is 150 feet tall. The tree is located in  Blue River, Oregon, and each year the owner uses 50,000 lights on the tree. Man, I would hate to pay the bill for the Christmas lights. LOL!!!!

Well Friday I went to Sierra's house! I had a Really fun time! We played Xbox, and we watched several movies! We ended up staying up till 6:00 in the morning. I am sooooooooooooo tired today.

Today my mom and I set up some Christmas decorations. We set up our nativity, and other things! It looks a Lot like Christmas in our house! I LOVE setting up Christmas decorations!

Hello Everyone,

 

Today we made gingerbread houses and gingerbread men. I made a gingerbread house and my brothers made gingerbread men. They had a fun time, although they made a HUGE mess. My youngest brother Jared (he is 1) didn’t help much with the cookies. He had more fun playing in the sink with the dirty dishes, which by the way are not dirty anymore, he cleaned them pretty well. The only downside was that we had a lake right by the sink, but we got all the water cleaned up.

 

Jocelyn Dixon is hosting a Christmas Bundle Giveaway at her blog, there are a lot of neat prizes, and make sure you enter soon, the giveaway ends December 8, 2007. I am supposed to write about a special memory from the past. Umm, that is a hard one…….. I will have to say one my best memories is when I went to Yellowstone with my family; it was fun seeing all the animals, especially the buffalo and the moose. I got to spend time with my family and I had a Wonderful time. It was a memory that I will NEVER forget. Ok now all I have to do is but the link on my sidebar.

On the 15^th my sister Emily planes to have a ginger bread house party. My brother's friend Andy is invited and of course Makayla and some other people, I don’t know exactly who.

  Today’s been very rainy. And I heard thunder several times.

My Mom and Dad also went today at about 11:30 a.m. and I assume they be back at 6:30 p.m. or so.

The last few days I've been kind of busy. The past few days it has been snowing, but not to the point where we can go sledding.

Right now my brother’s friend is here and everybody is cutting out Christmas cookies, then we are going to frost them.

Bible study is tonight, I really hope I can go because I haven’t gone to Bible study in a long time.

Right now I am writing random things because I really have nothing to say.

 Oh, well I got to get off the computer, because my Mom wants to get on. Have a great day.

Is it just me or are there other people who think that it is ridiculous that people are offended by other people being saying Merry Christmas? This is my opinion on that........ Christmas is a Christian holiday, period. How did the whole Christmas holiday start?------------- The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, he was born in a stable in Bethlehem. People came from miles away to bring him gifts, and the wise men followed a star for miles just to see our Lord Jesus. How ridiculous it is that people are trying to take Christ out of Christmas, when Christmas all started because of Christ! Next time you go into a store, look how many things are Happy Holidays,  and look how many of the decorations for Christmas are everything that DOESN'T have to do with Christ. 

Now, in some stores they are not aloud to call Christmas trees, Christmas trees they can only call them family trees. I think that is wrong, a Christmas tree is a Christmas tree, it will always be a Christmas tree. Christ is Christmas and it will always be! and it is wrong that people try to change the meaning of Christmas.

Well now that I got that out of my system I will tell a few different things that have been going on around here lately.

Last night we got two an a half  inches of snow! But in the morning it started raining, and it is pretty much slush. On Saturday the news says that we are suppose to get a good amount of snow, and it is supposed to stay for awhile!

Today I am at my aunts house, while my mom is working in town. I love my aunt sooooooo much, she is very nice, and fun to hang out with. My brother Jared came with me, and my aunt is babysitting here grandchild Hayden. Hayden is 7 months, and he is such a cutie!!!

Well today I helped my sister clean a friend’s house. To me cleaning somebody's house is always easier then cleaning you’re own house.  Dose any body else have that same thought?

There’s been a flue going around my house because my little Bro. is sick. My mom says this has been a slowest flue ever cause its has lasted 3 weeks long. :o

Well 7 more days till Thanksgiving and of course 8 more days till my B-day. And tomorrow is my older Brothers B-day. So my mom is going to send him a packed because he’s in Iraq. He joined the army two years ago I think.

Today has been pretty busy! My mom,me, and Matthew have been cleaning the house and around the house. It is a beautiful day today, so we got a lot off stuff done out side. I cleaned upstairs, and vacummed upstairs. My Mom cleaned our flower beds outside, and Matthew and mom also planted some bulbs, we also cleaned the house as well.

Write now I am at the library. My mom,dad,Luke,and Jared are looking at books. I am typing this entry and Matthew is playing a game. The reason I am not looking at books, is because I already have 10 library books at home to read.

Tomorrow after church my mom and I are having a girl day. We are going shopping at one of the outlet's(a whole bunch of stores in one area) in Oregon, I need to get some long sleeved shirts, I have some know, but they are from last year and they are getting to short in the sleeves. I also want to look at some tall black boots.

Well that is all I have to write for now.

Well I guess my friend told you that I was sick this week.  And thank you all for praying for my friend’s mom and for my friend and for me.That was really nice of you. :)

My mom and I are doing a crochet project this year. My mom is making a blanket and I am making a shawl. :)

Two weeks ago our wash machine and dryer broke down which left us hanging our clothes on the line. But two days ago my mom and dad went to town to look for a new dryer and washer. And so we did get a new washer and dryer. :) It works really nice, and it doesn’t really use as much water as our old one did. :)

Well my mom and I haven't been feeling a hundred percent lately. My mom got a cold, stuffy nose, itchy throat, and stuff like that. I have been taking my vitamins and the immune boosts, so my immune system is not as weak and susceptible to sicknesses. I did get a stuffy nose, but I think that it is allergies, but  yesterday I did have an itchy throat. Anyway can everyone please pray that we will get all better, and that no one else will get sick.

Sierra also hasn't been feeling the best either (That is why she hasn't been posting). She , well I will just say that she thinks she ate something that didn't agree with her, and she threw up several times a couple days ago. Please pray that she will get all better as well!

Well tonight my family and I went to Awana's. there wasn't as many people tonight as other nights. There was a lot of people that didn't come.

Tomorrow some of my other friends are coming over for awhile. Their mom and dad are taking adoption classes. I am hoping that I will finish school quickly so we have more time to play.

For the last  few days my mom and I have been going to a gym that is 15 minutes from us. Mom and I wanted to get back into shape, we're entering the holiday season, were there's turkey, ham, pies, mashed potatoes and gravy, and all that good food that has a tendency to pack on the pounds. My mom and I usually do the tred meal, and some of the weights, and other equipment that they have. My favorite thing to do there is the boxing bag, I think it is really fun to punch the bag ( I know that sounds strange, but it is a big stress reliever). Anyway, the gym owner is really nice and he was timing me to punch the bag for one minute without stopping, and then a one minute brake. We did that three times, and my knuckles were so sore and VERY red. Well at the time I wasn't that sore, but today I am REALLY sore. My shoulders hurt so bad. It hurts to pick up anything more than 5 pounds, or to stretch out, or anything that is stretching the muscle. My mom and I are going back to the gym tomorrow again, we took a brake this morning since we were so sore. We leave to go to the gym at 5:45 in the morning, so we are back by 7:00 am so dad can go to work.

Today was swimming. Our swimming lessons start at 10:00 am. We had a different swimming teacher today, our other swimming teacher went on vacation for a couple weeks. Our swimming teacher today was the manager of the pool. She is very nice, and she worked us pretty hard. I feel like I lost 5 pounds, but she is really nice, and I was glad she taught our class today. Swimming is my favorite sport. I love water, I want to go scuba diving in the ocean someday. What is your favorite sport?

Tomorrow my mom has to go to work in town. I am going to my great aunt's house, to help with her vacuuming, laundry, and visiting. She used to be our neighbor, and well she had to move and she moved to an apartment in town. She doesn't really like it as much as living in the country, and so I visit her and keep her company. I  will also do some school while I am there.

Wednesday is Awana's ( Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed), Awana's is like a christian club. There are different age groups, Cubbies- 3-5, Sparkies- 5-8, TNT (Truth and Training)- 8-12, Jr. High- 6-7-8 grade. It is really fun, we play games, memorize verses, we have study time, and singing. It is really fun!!!

Right now I am at Makayla's house trying to find out how to put our own template on. It is so annoying to fail.

My Sisters are doing a dance club, and the people who are in it is  my sisters Emily, Leanne, My pastor's son Andy, My friend Makayla, My brother 's Isaac, and Jacob, Oh and of course me.
We are learning "Ball Room Dancing".

Well my friend Sierra is at my house now, I hope y'all enjoyed her entry.
Making your own template is so frustrating, especially when you don't know how to do it.

Well today before my friend came, my mom, Matthew, and I organized and sorted threw winter stuff, and miscellaneous stuff. My mom cleaned out the laundry room, it looks soooooooooo much better now! I Sorted out the winter gloves, we got rid of any gloves that didn't have a match. I cleaned off my dresser and got rid of all the stuff I never use, and dusted off my dresser as well. It looks a lot better now. My mom also cleaned an area behind our house as well. I haven't checked that out so I do not know if it looks good or not, but I am sure it does!

My mom bought me a really good book called Ana's Story. The author of the book is Jenna Bush (President Bush's daughter). I will tell you a little bit about the book.

Jenna Bush-Is the daughter of President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, with a degree in English, Jenna was an elementary school teacher in Washington D.C for a year and a half. She then embarked on an internship with UNICEF ( a Christian missionary organization) throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, documenting the lives of children in need.

About Ana's Story- Ana is seventeen, she's been abused,  she has a child, and she's HIV-positive.

She is Ana, and this is her story. It begins the day she is born, infected with HIV, transmitted from her young mother. Now she barely remembers her mama', who died when Ana was only three. From then on, Ana's childhood becomes a blur of faint memories and secrets-secrets about her illness and about the abuse she endures.

I encourage everyone to read this book, it is a GREAT BOOK. It is sad, funny, and just a good book to read. My friend and I both enjoyed it.

Hello,

Today my mom, me, and my 1 year old brother Jared, went to town. Jared has been sick off and on for 3 weeks, so mom made an appointment with the doctor, and he has a sinus infection. The doctor said his sinuses are stuffed full, he gave my mom some medicine for Jared, he has to take it once a day for five days. Please pray for him to get better!

After we were done at the doctor we went to Wal-Mart and Khols. We didn't get much, I got a pair of pants, a decretive pillow, and Carrie Underwood's new cd Carnival ride. I listened to her cd and I really like it, it has a lot of good songs on it.

Earlier today before we went to the doctor my brothers', mom, and I cleaned the house. I cleaned upstairs. Our upstairs is pretty big, and it was REALLY messy, it was a lot of work to clean.  I organized everything and vacummed upstairs. It looks a LOT better and hopefully it will stay clean for a day or two, but with three brothers that is most likely not a possibility. Mom cleaned downstairs, and I believe Matthew and Luke cleaned their room. Oh, did I mention I am the oldest child in my family, Matthew is 7, Luke is 3, and Jared is 1.

 Hello everyone

Today has been pretty normal. I did school didn't finish till 2:30 p.m. then I took care of my cat Garfield he was really hyper he wanted to play with every thing like playing with dried leaves, towels, my hair, his brothers and sister and my sisters dog Elie. I can't believe its November. To me the year has gone by really fast.

Yesterday my Uncle called and asked if we wanted to come to his house for Thanksgiving. My mom and dad are thinking about it because my dad might go to work that day. Oh but I do hope we go because we wont be spending Thanksgiving with my grandma and granddaddy.

Well, today my family finished wrapping our meat. My dad butchers our own cows, and a week ago my dad butchered our bull Lucky. My family did most of the wrapping on Monday, but we still had some left over meat that we needed to wrap. Thankfully this time my parents didn't need some me my other friends to help with wrapping. It is a gross job.

I thought since everyone doesn't know a lot about me, I can tell five things about myself.

1# I LOVE reading! My favorite books are mysteries, but I do like some other kinds of books as well.

2#I like listening to music. I like different kinds of music. I like some country and some pop. Some of my favorite country artists are..... Taylor Swift, Josh Turner, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, and Leanne Rimes. And a few of the pop singers I like are.... Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) and Kelly Clarkson.

3# I LOVE Dolphins!!! Dolphins are my favorite animal! I like drawing them as well!

4# My favorite subjects in school is..... Math and Science. I am really good at Math, and I like learning about the ocean, space, and other science things, the only thing I do not like about science is learning about molecules, atoms. acids, and all that fun stuff.

5# Well now I can't think of number 5.... ummmmm I will leave that open, name one other thing you would like to know about me???????
