Holocaust Memorial Day is held annually on 27th January, and is an international commemoration of the lives lost in the Holocaust and other more recent genocides, as well as those affected by present day discrimination.
Events at the Museum aim to help visitors learn about the Holocaust and its lessons for today, in keeping with this year's Holocaust Memorial Day theme of 'Stand up to Hatred'.
Stand up with Stories (Ideal for ages 5+)
Saturdays 24th & 31st January, 12.15pm & 2.15pm
Romany storyteller Richard O'Neill discovers that being different doesn't mean we can't all be treated the same.
Instruments of Song (Ideal for all ages)
Sundays 25th January & 1st February, 1.15pm & 3.15pm
Evocative Klezmer, Greek and east European melodies by The Deli Babies.
Stand up to Hatred (Ideal for ages 14+)
Sunday 25th January, 3.15pm
Talk focusing on the Holocaust through children's eyes with Dr Tim Cole
Stand up to Hatred (Ideal for ages 14+)
Sunday 1st February, 3.15pm
Talk with a contemporary approach to this year's theme, by Dr Mark Levene
