As a practice I don't listen to secular music - I feel that God gave us music for the purpose of praising and worshipping Him and for the sake of guarding my heart I choose to only listen to music that is edifying to me.

Now with that said I do enjoy listening to secular artists sing praise songs - I used to have a CD of country artists, some Christians, some not, singing all the old favorite hymns. Beautiful! And I have always enjoyed listening to Lee Greenwood sing his ever popular 'God Bless the USA' - such a great song that I never tire of hearing - still brings tears to my eyes on occasion. So you can imagine how excited I was to discover that he has a new CD out called 'American Patriot' and it has all of my favorite patriotic hymns and song! On an impulse I bought it knowing that it would only aid me in my goal of inspiring a love of our country's heritage in my children.

I just wanted to share this find with all of you who share this vision for your children and also enjoy Lee Greenwood.
