Under His Construction

• Jul. 12, 2007 - Is Neutrality Biblical?

I posed the question in an earlier post "Is there such a thing as a neutral education?" and in the comments I mentioned how I had been contemplating whether Switzerland was truly neutral as they claim to be.  Well now I am going to take this a big step forward and ask this: Is there such a thing as neutrality at all? Is it one of those words that exists to describe something that does not exist? Is it a nonsense word?

Well as in all things we have to go to the source of objective truth to find out the answer. So as I pondered the Biblical basis for neutrality I asked God to lead me to Scripture that would give me the answer and in His faithfulness He gave me a verse I knew well.

“He who is not with me is against me" Matt. 12:30

Wow! So if all things are either for or against God then truly neutrality is non-existant. Am I wrong here? I would truly love to hear all of your comments on this! (  :  Please feel free to challenge or defend my thinking here.
