Under a Sedona Moon

Mar. 6, 2008 - Graduation Announcements

"My two oldest daughters both graduate from college in May. Their educational journey has been unique. My oldest daughter is graduating a year early (she is the one in Italy this semester). My middle daughter is graduating two years early, after graduating from high school early (she got her Associate Degree in Business at age 16, the week after graduating from high school home school). They are both talented intelligent fascinating young women.

With graduation a little over two months away, it is time to order the announcements. My oldest daughter left it up to me to pick hers, since she is out of the country. My middle daughter picked out her own. She and I have been going back and forth online (chat and email) figuring out what and how many we need, etc. Yesterday, we finally made the decisions and placed the order. It was a good thing we were doing this through chat, as I was just sitting there crying. Guess it was one of those "mom moments" of life.

It just hit me that next time we ordered something like this it would most likely be for their weddings or perhaps a Master's degree. (I still do have high school and college announcements to eventually order for my youngest.) I also reflected back on the years and how quickly they did pass by. What an amazing adventure it has all been!

I am so very proud of them and looking forward to the celebration of their graduation!"
