Women's Topics - not for the faint of heart

Posted in Random Thoughts

I want to tell you about two things. Some of you may be embarrassed that I even mention this stuff. My apologies to you. To the rest of you...please realize that there may be an easier way for you.

First topic: the "Diva Cup" (made from silicone) and the "Keeper" (made from latex). You can google them to find out all about them. Stays in place during all bathroom activities. It does take a couple of months to get the hang of seating it properly. I've had mine for two years and will never go back! The Diva cup offers a 90 day money back guarantee.

Second topic: Waxing away unwanted hair. I did this for the first time last summer. The only downside is the cost, so I limit it to summertime. It does hurt, but only for about 2 or 3 seconds. Then you have nice looking skin for a month. Try it!

Okay, end of discussion. :)

I was going to blog about the Diva Cup also, but you saved me the trouble. I don't know what I did before it. Yes, I do--a lot of extra laundry.

Instead of waxing, I use a hair remover by Emjoi. It works great and I think it's less painful than waxing--and certainly a lot cheaper.

Blog on about these sensitive topics, sister!

I don't know why people get embarrassed about it... it's something pretty much 50% of us deal with for 30-40 years. Time to get over it!!! ;) The keeper is amazing. And the more I read about the toxicity of bleached, deodorant, scented feminine hygeine products, the more I wonder why the Keeper isn't more widely used..... talk to your daughters... maybe we'll start a revolution!!! :D

I just wanted to mention the Sea Pearls too. I found your blog while searching for other "suburban farmers" (I'm more a suburban gardener at this point) and enjoyed reading.

Sea Pearls are one more natural option for a woman's cycle...made of sea sponges and very comfortable! I'm glad you mentioned the other two as well. We need to quit loading our bodies with nasty dioxins from paper products.:)
