Our second grandchild was born on Oct. 6 she weighed 5 pounds 12 ounces and 18 inches long.  We have had our 2 year old grandson for the week and will be taking him back home tomorrow after we visit the farm.  The baby had some complications and didn't get released until today.  They still don't know exactly what is wrong and have scheduled an appointment at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem on Monday. 

We managed to get a few things done for school this week but not full days.  We worked on the more than and less than flash cards...counting to 40...showed him that you can count by 2, 5 and 10.  Letter recognition...color words and words from his Go, Go, Go book.  We did a lot of flannel board stories and read a lot of books.  We played lots of ring around the rosy, hokey pokey and red light green light.

I'm off to get all of Brendon's things packed up so they will be ready in the morning.
