Hey All,

It's been so long since I've posted but with the holidays, getting the kids ready for a wedding, getting one ready for Italy, and homeschooling the youngest there has been no time.  It's starting to calm down around here now with only a couple of birthdays this month and taking one to get her passport started.  She leaves in April for Italy for 10 days and is singing with the Choral Department in three cities. 

We have been doing dinosaurs this week and it's been a rather roaring week. lol  Colin loves this unit and I know when we finally move on I'm going to hear much distress over it.  Of course he associates the dinosaurs with those on The Land Before Time.  This weekend I am going to have the older kids help him make a diorama and we are going to make some dinos from clay.  The sites I used for this unit study are  www.enchantedlearning.com      www.dltk-kids.com              http://www.kidzone.ws/tracers/dinosaur/index.asp       and online games  http://www.abc.net.au/dinosaurs/dino_playground/     We also have read many dinosaur books and watched The Land Before Time movie. 

Also we have been reading the Level 1 books from Now I'm Reading!  Today was Rat Naps and over the weekend he has to read this book to 4 people.  He already has read to his older brother after he came home from school and to his daddy and has placed 2 stickers in the book.  He loves homework I guess because the older kids always have it and it makes him feel big and he loves the reward of getting a sticker placed in the book after he reads it. 

I better head for bed tomorrow is a busy day and it's going to be nice so hopefully we can get some yard work done.  We still have tons of leaves that need to be raked up.
