Oct. 13, 2006 - 1st Rock and Roll!
This
is the title of my oldest son's first song. My daughter, Autumn, found
it lying around somewhere and showed it to me. I thought it was quite
good and of course I think my Aeron, age 9, is quite special. I asked him if I
could share it with you and he beamed.
So give me a 1, 2, 1,2,3 hit it!
I enter in a contest. But I did not know what to do.
I don't know what I can do.
I may do what people may not expecting.
It may be funny!
It may be sad!
Maybe it will make peope (people) mad!
but now I know what to do.
I'll be myself.
I don't care if people don't like it.
I don't care. I don't care it's just me!
I was ready.
I'm so exited (excited).
But it closd (closed)!
What a shocker!
But I'm still who I am.
I may be good.
I may be bad.
But I'm who I am.
it's not you.
You may be good.
You may be bad.
But I now (know) that you are you and I'm me.
I'm Difrint (different) than you and
you are Difrint than me.
Oct. 6, 2006 - Our Homeschool Room
To many this would be considered the Dining Room, to us, it is our
homeschool room. Well this room and the Living Room. So our Dining
Room and our Living Room is our homeschool rooms and our
Bedrooms are our homeschool rooms. So there you have it, Our
Dining room, Living room, Bedrooms are our homeschool rooms and
then there is our Sunroom is our homeschool room. So our
homeschool room is the Dining room, Living room, Bedrooms,
and Sunroom and well today my daughter even asked me to put the
notebook size posters I received with the large posters in the Bathroom.
So...My Dining room, Living Room, Bedrooms, Sunroom, and Bathroom
are our homeschool rooms. I'll be very glad to have my basement finished
so we can move everything down there to the Family room although I have
a feeling that will not be the only room for schooling, but just an addition
to the other rooms. Did I mention there is a Bathroom down there too?
Here are a couple of pictures of our now redecorated Dining(clear throat)
School Room. The posters were a courtesy of http://internationalpaper.com
Autumn and Aeron: We are Exploring Countries and Cultures the year and yes Aeron's eyes are very sensitive even to the red light when the flash is off. Lucky boy takes after him mom.
Yes, I'm very aware that my retro chandelier and country chairs do not go together. Guess which one is going bye bye soon~I hope! ;)
I can hardly believe I'm adding this photo. I'm trying to get out of my perfectionist ways that cause procastination. So here you seen unperfectly organized book shelves and sheers not quite right, along witha cup on the table. UGH! Deep Breath.
I bought these for a whopping $1 just for my 5 yr old son. He was so happy.
Autumn cut out the newspaper forecast, so Carson can see what tomorrow will be like and cross of the days. He loves this.
Oct. 1, 2006 - Fashion Show
I thought I'd share with you what my daughters did a couple of Sundays ago. They spent hours literally preparing for a fashion show. It was so cute.
One of my dreams earlier in life was to model. I love modeling and fashion, but there is a lot to be desired in the Godly sense so I didn't pursue it for very long. Well, that and I was only 5'7" stretched out, I'm extremely modest, and I really needed braces. I'm very good at walking in high heels and "stomping" though.
Ever since America's Next Top Model, I often think it would be wonderful to create and succeed as a Christian Model Agency for all those that still have strong values and morals. Enough about me. Without further ado: My daughters Autumn and Summer!

Modeling with the one that made it all possible in the background.

Wind blowing in her hair.

Twirl Twirl Twirl

I wouldn't recommend a blanket runway.

The bouquet of flowers thrown by the audience.
Aug. 29, 2006 - I Love the Library!
I just had to share with you our library trip. Last week I bought a fold up wheeled crate from Staples for our library books. This crate is quite large, larger than a normal size crate. It was filled almost to the top with books for Aeron, Carson, Summer and me upon our return. Those books were from several previous trips.
Okay now for today's checkout.
We ended up with a full crate and that didn't include Autumn's or Aeron's! I told the little ones to pick out a few books and put the ones they wanted in the crate. I was a couple of shelves over from them picking some more schoolish type books out. (No one else was on that floor so I feel quite safe doing this and Autumn and Aeron are good about keeping an eye on them too) Anywho. Needless to say Carson and Summer found some books they liked. LOL
We proceeded to check the books out, Autumm first on her card, I was next, and then Aeron on his card. When it was my turn she said I had a $.50 fine. SHOCKER!
But get this: She said I will give you teacher status since you homeschool and that equals no more fines for me! WOOHOO! Life is good. I did feel a little guilty though, I guess I can always donate, time, money, or books.
Then all of a sudden, well maybe not a sudden, but after a few minutes passed by my book beeped. ACK! I reached the limit, I didn't even know there was a limit! It is 50, but she decided, without my asking, to override the computer. She did this 3 more times. I love this part of living in a small town and the one I grew up in that I said I was NEVER moving back too because everyone knows everything about everyone. LOL I guess it's not too bad after all.
Aug. 22, 2006 - Salt and Light
Well
last week I could have just shared and shared and shared. I was so full
of joy and really enjoyed the book of James. It was just what I needed
to get back on track. Isn't God amazing?
This
week I was reading a lot before any one thing spoke to me and even one
night God told me to lay aside my Bible and pray really pray, so that's
what I did. I was so blessed by Him for obeying.
I was all
ready to share something else tonight, but now that I see what I just
wrote I feel led to share something else. In all honesty this is really
part of last week to, but the beginning of my present journey in
Matthew.
Matthew 4:18 -25
It talks about the calling of the First Disciples
Verse 20 says "At once they left their nets and followed Him."
Verse 22 says " Jesus called them and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed Him."
I
have often found myself telling God, " I will, but later" "Later God, I
promise" What I need to be doing is saying, "Yes God I will do what
you ask when you ask it." The flesh sure does put up a fight
sometimes, but oh when I'm obedient am I ever blessed which often is
meant to help another person. God really does reward obedience.
My
prayer to God that evening was this: Dear Lord, may I be like these
four disciples when you call me to follow. Instead of making excuses as
to why I will later, to listen and follow immediately, NO questions asked. Thank you for revealing Your Word to me in the name of Jesus Christ Amen!
