Ok, we come to it at last. The biggest battle of this year. Texas A&M will be faceing Univirsity of Texas in kyle field. Last year the longhorns lost at home to the Aggies. And this year they are going to lose in Texas A&M's house. The tremendous event is known as The Lone Star Showdown. It will be takeing place during the best week of the year, thanksgiving week, a whole week full of football. So here ar the facts
Friday's game will be the fourth football installment of the State Farm Lone Star Showdown,which started in 2004. Currently, A&M and Texas are tied 2-2 in the year-long competition. … The game will be the 114th renewal of the rivalry, which is tied for the third most-played game in college football behind Minnesota-Wisconsin (116 games) and Kansas-Missouri (115) … The series began in 1894, which was Texas A&M's first season of football … The Aggies and Longhorns have played every season since 1915 making it the eighth longest uninterrupted series in Div. I college football … Texas leads Texas A&M, 73-35-5, in the all-time series, but Texas A&M has a 13-12 advantage over the last 25 years … The last time the Aggies defeated the Longhorns in College Station was the "Bonfire Game" in 1999 … Last season the Aggies upset the No. 10 Longhorns, 12-7, at Royal Memorial Stadium."
