Mount Vernon offers area elementary schoolchildren a special field trip experience with craft demonstrations - including blacksmiths, candlemakers and spinners - and a special ceremony at George Washington's Tomb. Schools must make a reservation by calling (703) 799-8604.
|
Boy scouts and girl scouts are admitted free during Frontier Days as are adult leaders in uniform or wearing the official scout leader pin.
