Our church, Metro Life, hosted the Contending 07 Christian worldview conference this past weekend. All of the audio files and a PDF file with the notes are now available for free download. Contending 07 was inspired by the appeal given in Jude 3, “Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.”
Brent Detwiler, a pastor from North Carolina who oversees the southeast region for the Sovereign Grace Ministries group of churches, taught 6 sessions of the conference on Friday and Saturday, as well as a 7th message during the Sunday Service. My husband and four teenage daughters had the privilege of attending the conference, and I got to hear the Sunday sermon. I must say I have been blessed every time I've heard Brent speak over the past few years.
