Sunny With A High Of 75

• Apr. 24, 2008 - Ketchup.

I know, I'm really lame and haven't blogged in almost three months. Sorry! I've been relly busy trying to finish up school and prepare for my missions trip. Plus, I've really been into Facebook. It rocks! & it's way easier and quicker than H-blogger.

Ok, so my smarty-pants sister left a comment saying that I only left 5 random facts on my last tag when I was supposed to leave six. here's one that should make up for it,

- I love to drink soda through half-eaten twizzlers. lol.

and now it's rally late and I can't think of anything else to say. I know it was short, but I will try to post more regularly from now on.

Nighty-night, volleybabe

• Feb. 2, 2008 - Things about me you didn't necessarily need to know. Ü

Yay! For once, I don't have to think up long boring paragraphs about what's not going on in my life. I've been tagged.

Here are the rules:

1.  Link to the person that tagged you.
2.  Post the rules on your blog.
3.  Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
4.  Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
5.  Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

I was tagged by everythinggurl.

My six non-important things/habits/quirks:

#1-I find immense joy in rolling down a hill. Even if I can't stop myself and slam into a tree at the bottom. :/

#2-I can crack about every appendage you could think of.

#3-Fresh baked bread is my favorite source of carbs. Ü

#4-I love home gyms, treadmills and elliptical machines, but I hate to excercise.

#5- I've always had the strange desire to taste a dog biscuit, but never gathered the courage to do it.

Here's who I tagged:

Jonas93, lluther, vbsmiley, littlebrowngirl, sweetpotato & SimplySaid

Happy Groundhog Day!!! Here's to six more weeks of winter. Ü

• Dec. 23, 2007 - This one's for you Colby.

Don't u just love my Christmasy (spelling?) colored letters? Yeah, me neither. I mean, who ever decided that red and green were the official Christmas colors? Apparently, it was someone with very little taste. Well, in protest, I'm going to write the rest of my entry in the colors I think should represent Christmas.

Well, whadya think? Na, to boring.

eww, to ugly.

whoa, unbearably bright!

Almost there, but not quite.

were getting warmer......

Perfect.Waitaminute!!!!!

Hmph. I guess they did know what they were talking about. Anyways, I'm totally pshyched for Christmas. (Especially if I continue to get fine jewelry).

I don't really have anything else to say, I just thought I'd better update since some people ( you know who you are) claim I only update once a month. Oh, I guess their right, too.

I'll shut up now, volleybabe

P.S. Merry Christmas!!!

• Dec. 16, 2007 - I feel so.......loved. Ü

Guess what?

You know that missions trip I told you about? I was accepted! I'm totally excited, yet a little freaked out. I mean, going on this trip is sooooo opposite of me it could only be from God.

for one- I am a major homebody. The closer to home I am, the better. Traveling across the atlantic ocean to Africa isn't exactly my idea of home sweet home.

for b- One of the ways we will be ministering to the orphans is through drama. If you know me even a little bit you will find out I detest drama, at least, being in the middle of it.

4- I luuuv my bed, makeup, hot showers, indoor plumbing in general, fashionable clothes, air conditioning, ice cold water, cell phone, TV, computer, etc. I have a feeling I may miss at least one of these items and/or luxuries.

As you can see, now that I look back on it, WHAT ON EARTH WAS I THINKING?

Na, I'm more excited than anything. The Lord is already building my faith through his Word and waiting on Him. He is truly a great God and I'm totally psyched that I have the oppurtunity to serve Him in this way.

Enough about me. Have any of you ever gone on a missions trip? Where to and what did God teach you? I'd love to know. Ü

Well, it's terribly late and I must get up for church in the morning,

so long,

farewell,

Auf Wiedersehen,

goodnight.

P.S. Remember to smile, ÜÜÜ, Jesus loves you!

• Dec. 8, 2007 - 3 good reasons why I should not get a blogger award.

I know,

I have to be the worst blogger on the face of the planet. Buuuttt...... I do have good reason.

reason #1- I ....well.....um,

reason #2- This month has been rather.......kind of,....

reason #3-My life is pretty bus-, is it getting warm in here?(I ask nervously while pulling at my collar.)

OK, OK!!!! I admit it. I just didn't want to blog. At all. Please tell me I'm not the only one who goes through that phase.

On a more interesting note, I do have some news. On monday I sent in an application for an international short-term missions trip. Lordwilling, and if I get accepted, I would be going to Zambia, Africa next summer. I'd be serving in what they call a foot-washing ministry, which includes washing the feet of AIDS orphans and giving them a brand new pair of shoes, most of which have never owned shoes in their life. I'm really excited to see what the Lord will do in me and through me.

Has anyone gotten snow yet? We did earlier this week. It was pretty rough though, because it was just enough to go out and play in, but not quite enough to sled in. Darn, I hate when that happens. Ü

Well, I'm pretty excited for Christmas. I got everyone their presents and there all wrapped and everything. What are some of your favorite Christmas memories? Post a comment.

I do belive it's time for me to check out. I'll try to keep in the blogging mood. Ü

Well,

I was thinking maybe it was time to change my template. But when I did I realized it had erased all of my cool little sidebar thingies.

You would think I'd be smart enough to heed the "if you choose this template your previous template will be completely overwritten" warning sign. DUH!

• Nov. 3, 2007 - Rain on my parade.

Extra!, Extra!, Read all about it!

December 29, 2007 will be a sad day for all those who claim the title of Relient K fan. The drummer, Dave douglas, who has been with the band for the last 7 years, will perform his last show on that date. Yes, he is leaving the band.

Dave, who is famously (or infamously, depending on who you ask) known for drumming without his shirt on, is taking his career elsewhere. He is planning on developing his music project Gypsy Parade with his wife, Rachel.

I'm curious to see who will take his place. They have some big shoes to fill.

I'm trying to talk dad into taking me to a concert on their Appetite for Construction Tour. I figure I might as well see them one last time with good ol' Dave.

• Oct. 20, 2007 - A message from the world's worst procrastinator.

wow,

I can't believe it has been a whole month since I wrote last. Where does the time go?

I don't have an excuse either, except that I'm lazy. In the past month I have:gone on vacation, got pink eye, ate snails(es cargot) and alligator, got pinkeye, cut my eye and had to wear an eye patch, got pinkeye, drove my very own car for the first time, and got pinkeye.

In hindsight, this month has been pretty eventful, and yes, I did get pinkeye that many times. By the time it was all over, it made me reconsider my favorite color.

But enough about me. I get soooo sick of talking about myself on here. Not to mention you're probably ready to gag yourself. I'll shift my writing to something worth considering.

Our God is so faithful. You'd think I'd have this down by now but I believe this is something I will always be learning. God has given me everything, a home, a loving family, a great church, awesome friends, and most of all, eternal life through Jesus. I owe him everything and yet I'm still so self-centered. Sometimes I wonder how He can even stand to look at me.

Have you ever known somebody who was two-faced? One minute they're acting like they're your best friend and the next minute they treat you like dirt. Don't they just disgust you? You wonder if they feel remorse for how they act. But when you really think about it, we're just like that. One moment we praise God and the next minute we turn our backs on Him when we see what seems to be something better.Despite what we do,He still loves us!!!!How is that even possible? I don't know, but thank God it's true. Ü

What things has God been teaching you as you continue you're walk with Him? I'd love to hear.

• Sep. 21, 2007 - ...call it torture, call it Universtiy... (Relient K)

goodness gracious,

When I was young I always couldn't wait till I grew up. I mean, just thinking about being 16 was like unfathomable. Now I'm 17 and wishing I was 10 again. Am I the only one who feels like this? I guess what spawned that thought is, I thought I had decided on a college. It's local, it's cheap and it has the major I want. But I've been receiving alot of mail and telephone calls from Liberty University. Now I'm like, "Maybe this a sign that God wants me to go here.". I like the idea of going here because, taking nursing, I'd be learning about biology and psychology...blah,blah,blah, and I'd like to learn all that from a Christian point of view. The problem is it's way more expensive and I'd have to take the SAT's which I'm so totally dreading..................AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Now you now why I want to be 10 again. Please pray for me. I just want to serve God in all that I do.

On the lighter side, I asked my dad if I could get a slideshow-thingy for my blog. He said he'd think about it, so maybe in a week or two you'll get to see what I really look like.....lucky you. ;)

I want to know what all of you want to go into after high school. leave a post, I'd really like to know. Ü

cul8ter, volleybabe

P.S. I've seen some of you have like a bunch of avatars on your sidebar. Can you please tell me how you do that? I've got like a bazillion avatars and I'd like to show all of them instead of one @ a time. Thanx.

• Sep. 15, 2007 - Coolness.

Now coming to you live from a cool blogger,

That's not according to me....that's according to several other bloggers who let me in to the society. Now I probably sound like a little girl who just got into the mickey mouse club....lol.

It's not that hard to join, these are the requirements:

#1- You have posted at least 4 times in the last calendar month.

#2-You will post at least once per calandar month while in the society.

#3- You have had a blog for at least three months.

#4-You are not above doing tags.

#5- You have left at least half as many comments as you have received.

#6- You are a human. ( not a fan, pet, photo, alien or large garden tractor blog.)

#7-You can appreciate the "lol's" important place in the english language.

#8- You try not to hate anyone.

#9- You believe the Bible to be the infallible Word of God.

If your interested, give it a try. Ü

anyways, my week was pretty much lousy as far as school goes. I only got like two days worth done. I suppose that's better than none! But then again we did go on two field trips this week. On friday we went to this living history fair. That was pretty cool. Then today, mom and I went to Washington D.C. We went with a group from church to the Holocaust museum. That was really sad ...and scary. Just putting myself in the Jews position makes my blood run cold.

Oh, next week I go on vacation! Our family is going to this resort in the pocono's. I'm really excited.

that's pretty much all I have to say, cya, volleybabe

• Sep. 1, 2007 - 39 & feelin' fine.

ho hey-hey ho,

How's it going? I've missed you so much this past week! OK, not really. Please don't be hurt, I just had a bunch of other stuff occupying my mind (Because you know it can't handle that much @ one time).

We started school this week. Suprisingly, my senior year does not feel unlike previous years. It's pretty much the same dealio except I'm one year closer to my first grey. Ughhh. That just sent a shiver up my spine.

My first v-ball practice was on friday. IT ROCKED! I had sooooo much fun (as usual) and actually played pretty well. Then to top it all off, we went to McDonalds afterwards with some friends and caused the janitor some more work.

Oh, by the way, I just finished reading a book called King Solomon's Mines written by H. Rider Haggard. OMG, it was like, the best book ever. Wow. I would highly recommend reading it. It's very well written and it's a classic. All I'll tell you about it is that it's an adventure book (along the same lines as indiana jones, etc.) about a search for King Solomons treasure. It's da bomb.

I shall end my 39th entry with a question. Why do you suppose that when geese fly in a v-shape, one side is always longer than the other? post your theories.

later taters, volleybabe

P.S. Do you like my little sunny cursor? Ü

• Aug. 26, 2007 - Return of the babe........volleybabe that is.

omg!,

I cannot believe it has been a month since I blogged last. I should be ashamed, I should be dragged out into the street and scourged with the very keyboard I've neglected for the last 30 days, I should........ OK, maybe I'm getting a little carried away. Anyway, I feel horrible, I'm sorry and I plan on being more faithful.

Ah, yes, where has the summer gone? I start school tomorrow. I must say farewell once again to sleeping in, reading for an unnaturally long tme and my dream of a sweet but tragic romance that ends with my lover leaving to live in california.................OK, once again maybe that's a little much. lol. OK, ALOT much.

I'll be senior this year, (and for all those who failed their spanish class I'm not referring to my tranformation into a mexican male) Ü. I'm really excited yet kind of scared. But that seems to be the general emotion of all the seniors I talk to.

I think the subject I'm looking forward to the most this year is goegraphy(and maybe spelling). That's kind of weird for me, I know, but I'm getting sick and tired of being teased about the fact that I thought Nordland, (the last name of one of our missionaries from church) was the country they were going to minister to. Sure, laugh till you're blue in the face, (because I know you are) but mark my words, by the end of the year I will have memorized all 50 states. Ü

well, I smell popcorn, gotta go, volleybabe

P.S. Volleyball practice starts this friday! Oh joy, oh rapture! I volleyball!!!!!!!!

• Jul. 29, 2007 - A classic game of tag.

All right, here are the rules.
1. We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
2. Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight
things and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged
and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

~1. My favorite outfit is jeans and a baggy t-shirt.

~2. I love sleepytime tea when I wake up in the morning.

~3. I sometimes have the strange and sudden urge to get up and dance, however stupid I may look.

~4. I can easily do 25 "boy" push-ups, but can't do one pull-up. Go figure.

~5. I have a crush on the young Fred Savage. :o

~6. I love to make people laugh.

~7. I once had an anorexic fish named Rufus. He died. :(

~8. My hair has been known to go in 57 directions at one time. Really. Ü

Now you have 8 more reasons to love/hate me. You decide.

• Jul. 21, 2007 - Razr bumps.

hey y'all,

How's it going? I know, I know, you've been going out of your mind waiting to hear what I got for my b-day.Ü JK.

Well, I shall end the suspense.  The first gift I opened was from my lovely sister Joywilliamsfan- some covergirl eyeshadow, very cool.

next gift, from my sister faith, was an abnormally large package of Orbit chewing gum. In case you didn't know, I'm a gum addict and I'm always "borrowing" gum from my friends (what else are they for? ;) So she decided to end the misery by buying me exactly 210 pieces of gum. This should last me at least a week. =O.

The next gift was from my most awesome pap ( who just happens to be my only pap). He gave me a substantial amount of money, the exact amount of which I don't think I should share. Just be satisfied with the fact that it should buy me quite a few pairs of new shoes. Yesssss.

And last, but not by any means least, the gift from my parents. We were in a restaurant when I opened it. As I went to open to open the bag my dad said to wait a couple of seconds. So as I sat waiting I hear this very familiar song eminating from the gift bag in my lap. I pulled out a jewelry box and unsure what to expect, and trying not to draw attention I peeked under the lid.

Let me just tell you, I darn near fainted. It was a pink razr cell phone. Looking back I do believe I had goosebumps.

Needless to say it was a very special day. But more than any of the gifts that I received on my birthday, I thanked God for the amazing family He blessed me with the day I was born. Words cannot express how much I love them. I would give my life for any of them without a second thought.

well, till next time, volleybabe

P.S. Hey, you guys tell me your fave birthday memories.

• Jul. 14, 2007 - So many years.....so little time.

Hey,

Sitting here thinking of what to write put me in a rather pensive mood. As some of you know, this coming thursday is my 17th birthday. Sure, I'm excited. I always like turning another year older but at the same time it's kind of sad. I can remeber my last birthday, and the one before, and the one before....you get the picture. Yet they only seem like yesterday. Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is thinking about another year gone by reminds me of Psalm 144:4 which says,

"Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow."

Wow, just think of that. Just pause for a moment and take a breath. Quick wasn't it? When God looks at our life that's what He sees. Just think of all the fun and exciting things you've looked forward to in the past. You looked forward to them for weeks and now how far gone are they? Weeks, months, even years?

When you consider the brief time we have here, and it is brief, and you consider the fragility of human life, doesn't it make you want to live to the best of your ability? I'm not talking about taking every cruise you ever wanted, climbing Mt. Everest, riding the worlds fastest roller coaster or winning the world championship hot dog eating contest. I'm talking about getting down in the dirt, serving others who are desperately in need, serving God with all your heart and telling as many people as you can about Jesus and His wonderful saving power. You should be excited to do that. You know why? Because in the end whether you have 80 more years or 80 more seconds on this earth, if you do know Christ as your personal savior you'll be with Him when you die. And it will be forever.

So I challenge you, as fellow believers in Christ, step out of your little box. Stop lying to yourself by saying "I'll confront her about this sin some other day." or "I'll talk to Him about God and His spiritual future next time I see Him" because you know there may not be a next time. If you are struggling with this issue, give it up to God now, because I promise you if you follow His will the outcome will be more amazing than you can imagine.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, volleybabe Ü

• Jul. 6, 2007 - WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! - The single most important word in concert vocabulary.

hey guys,

I moshed @ Creation Concert 2007.... and survived. Ü I've wanted to say that my whole life. OK, maybe not my whole life. Anyway, it was awesome. Besides the torential downpours, scorching sun, stinky mud, frozen water bottles, ridiculously priced food and the creepy goth people being way to close for comfort.......it was everything I thought it would be. lol.

The list of bands I saw in concert:

Relient K

Switchfoot

Skillet

Hawk Nelson

Family Force 5

John Reuben

Superchick

Phil Wickham

Stellar Kart

Starfield

Unsearchable Riches

KJ-52

Barlow Girl

Thousand Foot Krutch

Britt Nicole

David Crowder Band

Kutless

Casting Crowns

Third Day

Tobymac

Annnnd (pauses to take much needed breath)....

So, I think I got my money's worth. Ü On top of that I got to see quite a few speakers including Josh Harris and Justin Lookado. On top of all that, I stood in line and got to meet Superchick and had them sign my CD, High fived the one guitarist from Hawk Nelson (his name escapes me right now) & met and held intelligent conversation (as intelligent as my conversation can be) with Garret, a guitarist from Unsearchable Riches.

Whew, now that I got that out, (because my family is sick and tired of hearing it 24/7) I need to go paint my nails! Ü

• Jun. 23, 2007 - Rainbow Write

Finally!

I got my permit! I'm soooo excited. I drove to work today (with dad, of course). I drove a little bit the other day with my mom. But then she got all uptight and scared when I almost drove into a gulley. Gosh, what's with that? ;)

On top of that incredible news, we got a pool. (closes eyes and says yesssssss) It's an above ground and it's 21 feet across. It's pretty sweet.

On top of that awesome news, today was my last workday for the month because Creation is next week. I can't wait! I'ts going to rock. And you know what's really cool? Two of the people that I work with are going too!

So anyway, this summer I'm going to go to SAT classes. It's once a week for 8 weeks and it goes over everything that will be on the test and at the end of the classes you.....(this is a shocker) take the test. Now calm down, I know your jealous but that's no reason to throw yourself down on the floor and wail like a 2-year-old. Actually I am excited.

This past week I also went to see Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. That was totally awesome dudes. Not only did it have great special effects and an awesome story but it also had Ioan Gruffudd and Chris Evans. (Smiles slyly while raising and lowering eyebrows several times)

I guess I'll sign off now, I'm going to go watch Spiderman with the fam,

l8ter g8ter, volleybabe
