One Day I'll Mount Up With Wings Like An Eagle

• Apr. 26, 2007 - Hip Huggers

I bought these ridiculous jeans while I was pregnant last summer.  I liked the look of them.  They were my non-pregnancy size.  They were on clearance.  Three good reasons to buy them.  I just recently found them tucked away with last year's summer clothes.  I was so excited to have a brand new pair of jeans!  It's like finding a twenty dollar bill from last year in your winter coat.

I hung them in my closet, waiting for the perfect time to wear them.  Today was the day.  We had a doctor's appointment, and quite a few errands to run.  I put the jeans on only to realize that they were low-rise, hip huggers!  YUCK!!  Those are fine for some women, but not me!  I like to feel like my pants are pulled up, not falling down like I'm in a street gang!

I didn't have time to change.  All day I tried to inconspicuously tug them up.  I just couldn't get used to the feeling of having them around my hips.  I was constantly yanking on my shirt to make sure it covered the area where my pants should have been, and where they really were.

I was so glad to be home.  I was still uncomfortable, but didn't feel the need to be as modest around the little ones as I felt with strangers.  The kids were playing, and I took baby boy upstairs to change his diaper.  A few minutes later I heard DS2 come upstairs.  I stood by baby boy's crib.  I had him sitting in it while I was playing with him so he could see himself in his little mirror.  I was leaned over a bit, so some skin was showing.  Then I felt it.  DS2 put his hands on the back of my waistband and gave them a firm jerk upwards.  "Here we go, Mommy!"  He was pulling my pants up for me!

Oh my! That is too funny! I know what you mean about those type of jeans though. I had a pair and whenever I wore them I felt like something was hanging out. Now I get just below the waist ones. They don't give you the same feeling and they don't squish the belly fat either. LOL
