I promise I do plan to get around to talking about our homeschooling journey.  It just seems the past couple of weeks have just been full of one challenge after another and not much school has actually got accomplished but then again isn't that whats homeschooling is about learning to move with the flow of life and perssevere through the challenges and rejoice in the successes.

Well tonight were rejoicing.  In a previous post I shared that we had been struggling for a while with finances.   After nearly 8 months of unemployment and 2 job for almost a year just trying to keep ends meeting every thing came to a head.  We were behind in everything and in danger of loosing everything.  Its been a rough rode but were finally getting somewhere.

We started listening to Dave Ramsey a couple of month ago and following his principles.  If you haven't heard of him you can check him out at www.daveramsey.com he is amazing.  If you want to make Jesus the head of your finances he is a really good place to start.  So following his principles we started with our house.  Food, Shelter, Transportation then everything else.  We had food covered but as I said before everything else was behind.  So we started with a phone call to the mortgage company to see what we could do.  They were more than willing to work with us but we had to resolve this other debt first.  I have been trying and trying to get this resolved and at one point tonight had resolved myself to the belief that all was lost, but just when I was at the bottom I decided to step out of the boat.  I tried one last time to find a workable solution and the people decided to fogive the remaining debt that I had not been able to pay, I paid a significant chunk at the beginning in an effort to show my good faith that I wanted to resolve this matter and was willing to pay the price to get it done but just could not pay the whole price.  They took pity on me and I have a fresh start with at least one company.  And tommorrow we'll be on the road to a fresh start with another when I call the mortgage company to tell them the good news and get the final decision from them on what they need to make us current.

I just don't have enough words to describe the joy I am having with this major issue finally resolved and our finances finally on the road to recovery I am just full of awe at how even though it all seemed hopeless to me that God was able to bring Beauty from the Ashes.
