4H State Fair Volunteers Needed! Puyallup, WA
-----------------4H State Fair Volunteers Needed!
If anyone (age 13 to adult) is interested in volunteering at the 4H Pavillion the week before the Puyallup State Fair opens on September 5th please call Gail or email at gaildean@rainierconnect.com. Compensation for your volunteer hours will include exhibitor passes to the fair (which include free parking in the silver lot and free shuttle service to the red and gold gates) and food vouchers which can be used at quite a few eateries throughout the fair. Every four hours you volunteer earns one exhibitor’s pass and $3.00 in food vouchers.
Monday, September 1st - Thursday, September 4th the 4H State Fair Superintendents will be busy taking in entries for state fair, having those entries judged, and then sorting and arranging the entries in the display cases. The 4H departments (fine arts, educational displays, gardening, clothing, cooking) take in thousands of entries and we desperately need all the help we can get! There are many jobs available to willing bodies: receiving entries and checking paperwork, running and clerking for the judges, unpacking and washing the dishes for the two kitchens, decorating the cases and arranging the entries for display, the list goes on and on. NOTE: volunteers do not have to be 4H members.
