Home School Campout! Pierce County Area
Home School Campout!
Thursday October 9th – Friday October 10th, 2008
Spend a crisp autumn evening experiencing the wonders of Camp Seymour at night! Come for dinner, camp games, a traditional campfire and the famous Camp Seymour Night Hike, where participants learn about nocturnal animals and their adaptations, the glowing plankton of the Puget Sound, and much more. Campers will spend the night in heated cabins (which have beds, electricity and a bathroom), please expect to share a cabin with one or more families. Please call or e-mail Scott Gjertson (460-8890) to confirm. $60 (plus $4 if not a YMCA of Tacoma-Pierce County member) covers four classes, evening programs, dinner, an evening snack (s-mores), breakfast and lunch. Parent chaperones will be charged a minimal amount to cover costs: $7 per meal plus $4 limited membership fee (so $25 per parent). Sibling discount of $6 applies.
Please bring: sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries (including a towel and soap), flashlight, warm clothes, RAIN GEAR, a second pair of footwear (incase one gets wet), something to share at the campfire (a story, song, a skit your family performs, etc…), and anything else you may want or need for a night at camp.
