Discovering Japanese (ages 6-12)

Come discover the Japanese language and culture!  Learn basic Japanese phrases and words as well as Japanese customs, culture, and crafts.  Thursdays April 16-May 28, FEE:  $29.00.  Location:  Lacey’s Woodland Creek Community Park White House.

Adventures in Spanish (ages 4-10)

Come and discover the Spanish language in a fun, kid-centered environment!  You will learn basic phrases and words, and experience Hispanic culture through crafts and music.  Mondays, April 27-June 15 (no class 5/25), FEE:  $29.00.  Location:  Lacey’s Woodland Creek Community Park White House.

Youth Art – Let’s Paint (ages 7-12)

Led by a art instructor with a masters degree, students will explore a variety of painting techniques, introduced to watercolor, tempera, and acrylic paint creating several pieces of artwork.  No prior knowledge or skill required.  Wednesdays, May 6-June 10 (no class 6/3), 4:30-5:30pm, FEE: $35 (addt’l $15 supply fee payable at first class).  Location: Lacey’s Woodland Creek Community Park White House.

Survival Sewing (ages 14-adult)

Do you have a sewing machine that you don’t know how to use?  Wish you knew how to do simple clothing repairs?  This class is for you.  Learn the basics of sewing including hand stitching, button replacement, mending, machine basics, machine stitches, and project sewing.  Students will make an apron from a patter to practice their skills.  The first class will be hand sewing, no machine needed.  Bring your sewing machine to the rest of the classes.  Supply list provided at registration.  Mondays, April 20-June 1, (No class 5/25) 7:10-9:10pm.  FEE:  $39.00.  Location:  Lacey’s Woodland Creek Comm. Park White House.
