YMCA Youth & Government students are invited to help train REAL attorneys! Please forward this information along to your students. It would be an amazing opportunity for them to see a courtroom from the jury box.
Participate in real courtroom drama and assist in the professional growth of new lawyers
Volunteer jurors and witnesses are wanted for a November 21st mock trial at the Seattle Justice Center. You will view full courtroom proceedings under a Washington judge – and render a verdict in the case.
The program starts at 8:00am and may run as late as 4:00pm. Snacks are provided, but please bring a lunch or plan to eat out near the courthouse. The Seattle Justice Center (Municipal Courthouse) is located at 600 5th Ave.
The Washington State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division hosts this annual Trial Advocacy Program to give expert instruction and real life experience to lawyers seeking to build trial skills. 22 teams of new and young lawyers will argue civil and criminal cases.
