My morning devotional was about David. God put other people in his lives to protect him. He wasn't always the hero. I am reading and studying David by Beth Moore.

I was reading in Acts 27:21-44. Paul had instructed the captain and owner of the ship not to leave Crete and that there would be losses if they did. However, they didn't listen to Paul.

It makes me wonder how much trouble we could avoid if we would just listen to people instead of having to have our own way.

I know I'm guilty of wanting my own way. I have Holy Spirit in me, if I would listen to Him, I'm sure I would have many less problems, or at least the answers to get out of them.

How about you, are you guilty of not listening when you're given the answers? I'm praying that I have ears more attuned to what the Spirit is saying.

I read Acts Ch. 13 today. I am studying more about how the first century church started and conducted itself. My husband and I are in the process of starting a church and I am curious as to how it should be. God bless
