Thankful thoughts of our homeschooling life.

Good intentions...
Why is it that when I plan a week full of fun goodies I never seem to be able to do it all? :::sigh::: We did manage to make our scarecrows, with a little help from Daddy and Malachi, and boy are they cute! I'll post pictures in the next day or so after my camera battery charges . There are two more crafts I'd like us to do for Thanksgiving, hand turkeys {we did hand trees last year} and thankful pies! Every year I try to do at least a little something to have the kids really think of what they are thankful for. This month's copy-work has been a book with a Bible verse and a place to tell what the kids are thankful for. A few examples I have received are 'My Eraser', and 'Everything'.
I must go and take the turkey out of the freezer, I'm thankful to have remembered! |

NEXT WEEK??
I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week, and shortly after we'll get our Christmas tree!
This week in school we will be focusing on finishing our 'Dragon in the Sock Drawer' book as well as working on our body lapbook and doing various Fall crafts. It is my most favorite time of the school year! We have one flight of stairs in our home, and it is up against a large, empty wall. We call this wall our 'project' wall around this time because we like to put up all of our finished school art relating to Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is an awesome sight!
I'm off to make some breakfast for this gang! |
