Neverending

Monday, April 28, 2008 - Symphony, rabbits, etc.

Saturday, we went to the Beethoven Lives Upstairs symphony. It was good. A little odd at times (an older guy [at least 16] played a 10-12 year old boy) but it was good.

Yesterday, I watched I Am Legend up in Matt's bedroom with him. I loved the movie. A tiny bit of swearing and he tells one woman that there is no God, but at other times it is obvious he had/has a faith in God. We had church, then we came home and Katie and I walked Indy on the leash. Then we put Pippin in with the chickens. It was pretty funny. All the chickens were afraid of him. After lunch, we had three girl rabbits and the chickens free-ranging. Pippin was still in the portable pen. I had Patriot on the long line and he took off and I got some serious rope burn across one finger. It's discolored right now but it doesn't hurt.

Oh, and on Friday, Matt went pit bike riding and he crashed a few times and his shoulder and arm are a little messed up right now. Just remember to pray for him as he's at work today.

It has taken forever to get my dad to allow me to pierce my ears. I figure, that if my future husband doesn't like them, I'll take them out and let the holes grow in.

That symphony thing sounds really neat. I love music.

Haha, wish I could have seen "bunny meets chickens". It sounds funny. I feel sorry for Matt. That sounds painful. :-( Tell him I hope he feels better.

Hey dear,
I just saw your notes on Betsy's blog, and I just wanted to throw this thought out...

My dad told me that he didn't want me to wear earrings or make up until after I got married, because he wanted someone to fall in love with just the way I am, without any added "beauty". He wanted someone to see me in my purest form and fall in love with me that way.
I know that if I really wanted to, he would most likely let me wear earrings or make up. But I know that he wnats what is best for me, and it's not that he's worried about whether or not my future husband will like earrings or not, but because he doesn't want someone to be attracted to me for anything other than my heart.

Does that make sense? I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I just wanted to pass that little heart thought on...

Love ya!
