Wednesday, November 7, 2007 - Blogger Friend School- Dirty Laundry

Part A:

I do NOT do most of the laundry in our house- my husband does it. My oldest daughter- 13 does her own laundry. My husband  washes and dies laundry properly- separating it into towels, whites and colors, .
He has 2 crazy compulsions that bug me a lot- He separates laundry onto the FLOOR sometimes, and he also tends to let clean laundry sit on furniture. Everyone here can and does help with the loading of the washer and dryer, but hubby does most of it. This is his contribution to housework more than anything else. I do what I can, when I can, but my responsibilities are too numerous to let me do laundry a lot. Right now, I have a PILE-and I mean a PILE of laundry sitting on my chairs here in the living room. I know that I should fold it, but I don't like to, so I often don't. It gets folded by kids, husband or all of us together sometimes. Sometimes it sits for days- but at least it's clean, and having it in the living room  compels me to want to get it out of the way sooner than I did when it was sitting in another room. When I do laundry- I like to do one load at a time, wash, dry and fold and put away. I do not like to begin laundry unless I have time to do all of that.
Another laundry issue is that my kids are very messy. I am working on this with them, but on occasion, I will find ALL of their laundry on their bedroom floors mixed with dirty, so that it is hard to tell what is clean and what is not. It all gets washed again most of the time. I had so much trouble with my daughter's endless cycle of washing that I made her do it instead. Now she keeps better track of her clothes:)

Part B
I have said enough about this already!

Part C......
can't think of any right now and I have to get of of here!

What a wonderful help! I admit I toss my clean clothes on the chair all day long and fold at night watching TV. I am not a fan of laundry. Disposable clothes anyone?
