Ariel's LLATL book assigned her to write a riddle. We just read an Encylopedia Brown story, studied code writing as well as Morse Code.  

Here is her riddle:

I wander in and out the house
I am furry and sweet.
I can jump from great heights
And I can land on my feet.

What am I?

Madeline is doing test prep work but loves riddles and wanted to write one too.  

Here is her riddle:

Cradled in my arms of stone
I leave you to the monotone
As moonlight's argent glow beguiles
Silhouettes of deadened smiles

Vacant eyes foretell our fate
Livid membranes dissipate
Whitewashed walls in scarlet throe
A frost which stills the afterglow
