Last night I was on the phone with a friend.

Hubby has been working late for over a month and I am in desperate need on adult conversation. We were talking about high school record keeping and transcripts, curriculum and what God is teaching us. My youngest comes up and pulls on my leg

"Mommy, Mommy I have to tell you what I saw on TV!"

She is notorious for retelling me a whole episode of her favorite cartoon and she has a birthday coming up so I assumed she either wanted to tell me play by play about her cartoon or the lastest toy she wants for her birthday.

I calmly told her, "Honey, can you tell mommy about it when I get off the phone?" She said yes and I ran her bath while I continued to talk with my friend. I was on the phone a long time so she interrupted me about 4-5 times saying "Mommy when are you going to get off the phone.”

When I got off the phone she said "I saw on TV that you can clean your toilet with Vitamin C tablets. You just drop them in the bowl and leave them there for 2 hours then flush"

She read in her library book that bleach flushed down the toilet harms the sea turtles. Last week she came to me frantic. "Mom you have to stop using bleach to clean the toilets!" I replied that I can't have mold growing on my toilets and bleach is the only thing I know that keeps away germs and mold. So the wheels in her head have been turning ever since and now she says.

"See mom, maybe you can use the vitamin C so you stop killing the sea turtles."
