• May. 25, 2006 - Frogs and Logs

This is a photo of me, Jo, Gemma, Ellen, me, Lachlan, Jacob, Grace and me.
We were at Jo's house going for a nature walk. We all drew pictures. I liked it.

This is a frog we found under a log outside our house. We found about 15 of them. They are very little. We let it go into the pond after this photo. Frogs start as tadpoles then they turn into frogs.

• May. 9, 2006 - Our Pets
These are my pets. Ive been looking after the bird for two months for my cub scout pets badge. His name is either Bruce or Ernie, I like Bruce but my brothers like Ernie because he has a brother named Bert that my Aunty owns. We got him when he was about 2 weeks old and he flys around our house when he is not in the cage talking to other birds. He has been lost twice and we had to look for him. We thought he was dead but we found him. Once we came home and he wasnt there but a magpie was! We had to let the magpie out and we found Bruce.

This is Jess our dog and our budgie. Jess is a labrodor and we love her a lot. She is a bit overweight and she gets into the bin when I forget to close the bin lid. I dont think dad should feed her every night because she is a bit overweight but dad does.

• May. 9, 2006 - Mushrooms
On Monday this week we went for a walk and collected some mushrooms and toadstools. We ripped out the stems carefully, laid the top bit on some white paper and after a while they dropped their spores. They looked like little black and grey dots and stripes on the paper.
Then we went on a homeschool camp in a forest and when I went exploring I found a whole lot of toadstools and fungi. Below are all the photos of the toadstools and fungi.
The End.
PS Mum and I added a soft filter to some of the photos.

• May. 5, 2006 - Blue Tongue

We went picking mushrooms today with mum so we could see their spores on paper, and we found this sleepy lizard! He is a very small baby. Mum says he is the smallest one she has ever seen. He is supposed to be hibernating right now so we took him home and gave him some egg with a bit of milk. We also bought some mince for him. We will keep him until winter is over now and let him go in the spring. He is living in an old fishtank with lots of newspaper, straw and bark for him to hide under.
We still did the mushrooms on the paper and they looked really good. |

• May. 5, 2006 - Squid

This is the squid I caught with my dad when we went fishing. Its eyes were really beautiful! I really love fishing, we didnt catch any fish though.

This is the squids skeleton. It is made of cartilage. It tasted delicious when we ate it!
