• May. 5, 2006 - Blue Tongue

We went picking mushrooms today with mum so we could see their spores on paper, and we found this sleepy lizard! He is a very small baby. Mum says he is the smallest one she has ever seen. He is supposed to be hibernating right now so we took him home and gave him some egg with a bit of milk. We also bought some mince for him. We will keep him until winter is over now and let him go in the spring. He is living in an old fishtank with lots of newspaper, straw and bark for him to hide under.

We still did the mushrooms on the paper and they looked really good.
